Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear position in favour of free household water, both in the opening and conclusion, and you refer to relevant concerns such as children’s health and dirty water at school. However, the response only minimally develops the central question of whether every home should receive water free of charge. The school example focuses on water quality and government inspections, rather than explaining why household water should be free or how this could work. The point about farmers is difficult to understand and does not clearly support your position. To strengthen the response, give two clear reasons directly linked to free household access, then explain each with a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs signposted with “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise the answer. However, ideas are not arranged coherently within the paragraphs: the first body paragraph moves from cost to human rights and then to farmers and urban areas without clear connections. The school example is also difficult to follow because several points about dirty water, the headmaster, and government action are joined together. Repetition of “clean water” and “water” does not create clear progression, and “and” is often used to connect separate sentences. Group related points together and use clear topic sentences and links that show cause, example, or result.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Your vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, with “clean water,” “water,” “important,” and “free of charge” appearing repeatedly. Some wording makes the intended meaning difficult to understand, as in “the formers are still kilometres in the clean water” and “the water is urban areas in the nastle.” There are also inaccurate word forms or collocations, such as “the water is growth for the children” and “the water is no cost of the charge.” These choices strain the reader, which is consistent with a very limited range. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases for access, affordability, sanitation, and health, and practise using them in clear sentences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response relies mainly on short, simple statements and shows very limited control of sentence structure. Errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “the water did not and life will not easy on earth” lacks a clear grammatical relationship between its clauses, while “the children in the coming school and the student ask the teacher i am go to water” contains problems with clause structure and verb forms. Subject–verb agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “the water are dirty” and “the clean water is benefit.” Capitalisation and sentence punctuation are often missing or misplaced. Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with accurate connectors such as “because” and “therefore.”
