Student answer (Band 5.0)

Most of our bodies is formed from water, all our organs needs water to function correctly so water means life so it has to be accessible to every single being in this planet.

firstly many cultures and religions in the word glorify water and its importance in humanity its a forbidden act to cut water from any creature non other than less humans of course.

secondly water is not a rare liquid to unkeep it for the poor most of our planet is water and now we have the instrument to make it drinkable.

In another hand, its a crime and something against the nature of humanity to watch people, young children die of thirst and not act!

Our planet can not risk another war, many studies says that the third war will be because of the lack of water so its availability is a necessity.

From another studies, people from africa and gaza dies because drinking poisoned water, governments and western companies should prioritize their lives and provide clean water freely so those nations would arise again and leads humanity to a brighter future.

In the end, having access to water is a must in every country freely are at least for a cheap price, this world can not go further while people act greedy and selfish. water is needed not only to keep us hydrated its neaded to have vegetables fruits to shower to clean its life. as said in quran " we have created every living being from water".

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a recognisable position that clean water should be available to everyone, and you give relevant reasons, including health, poverty, conflict and the effects of unsafe water. The reference to people in Africa and Gaza and the quotation from the Quran help illustrate the importance you attach to water. However, the response only partly addresses the specific proposal that every household receive its supply free of charge: the conclusion shifts to saying it could be free or cheap, and there is little discussion of how universal free provision might work or be funded. Several claims, such as a future war being caused by water shortages, are asserted rather than explained or supported. Develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and maintain a consistent position on free provision.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces water’s importance, presents several supporting reasons, and ends with a conclusion. Signposts such as “firstly,” “secondly” and “In the end” help readers identify stages of the argument. However, the progression is not consistently clear: ideas move quickly from religion to water scarcity, war, poisoned water and personal responsibility, with limited explanation of how each point connects to the central proposal. The paragraphing is also weak, as most of the response appears as one continuous block, and some linking phrases are awkward or repetitive. Organise the essay into distinct paragraphs, each focused on one reason, and use clear references and transitions to show how the evidence supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “accessible,” “lack of water,” “poisoned water,” “governments” and “availability,” and you attempt emphatic language to convey the issue’s seriousness. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “unkeep it for the poor,” “in the word,” and “arise again.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “neaded,” also reduce precision. Some expressions are overly emotional or informal for an academic argument, for example “its a crime” and “this world can not go further.” Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “reserve water for wealthier people,” “around the world,” and “recover and develop,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, the range of controlled structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation. For example, “Most of our bodies is formed” should use a plural verb, while “all our organs needs” has the opposite agreement problem. The opening also joins several independent ideas with commas, making the sentence difficult to follow. Other examples include “many studies says” and “people … dies,” where the subject and verb do not agree. Practise building accurate sentences before combining them, and check subject–verb agreement, capitalisation and full stops. Clearer sentence boundaries would make your reasoning easier to understand.
