Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including health, the financial burden on lower-income households, and the cost of purification and infrastructure. This addresses the main question, but the discussion is uneven: the health benefits are listed rather than explained, and the point about plants and vegetables is not clearly connected to why household water should be free. The opposing point about waste and public expense is relevant, but you do not explain how it affects your final position or whether free access could be combined with measures to limit waste. Develop fewer points with specific explanation or an example to make the argument more convincing and complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting free water, a paragraph presenting concerns, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument understandable. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long sequences, particularly in the second body paragraph. Linking phrases such as “Firstly” and “On other side” help signal direction, but some connections feel mechanical, and the relationship between clean water, plants, and fresh air is not made clear. Use shorter, more focused paragraphs or sentences, and make each one develop a central point. Clearer referencing and transitions would also help readers see how the counterargument relates to your overall agreement.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “financial burden,” “socioeconomic inequalities,” “purify,” and “uncontaminated,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “water,” “good,” and “people,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. For example, “water furnish” and “an free water allocate” do not express the intended idea naturally; “water supply” and “a free water allocation” would be clearer. Spelling errors such as “signifacnt,” “requriment,” and “goverment” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of precise phrases for water access, public provision, and infrastructure, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “There are many types of infection…” and a contrastive paragraph about the costs of providing water. The main meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms sometimes make the reader work to understand the ideas. For instance, “There are many types of infection which can we caused” has an incorrect clause structure and verb form, while “the water can used” is missing an auxiliary. Articles, agreement, and punctuation also need attention, as in “an water” and the long sentence beginning “There is also an major impact.” Practise building accurate complex sentences, and check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb, and appropriate punctuation.
