Student answer (Band 6.0)
Access to clean water is essential for human survival and should be considered a human right, while people argue that every household should receive a water supply. I agree with this view because drinking clean water is necessary for good health, and its availability should not depend on a person's economic background.
Healthy life in this modern era relies on clean water. Humans use water for drinking, washing, and cooking purposes. Without access to safe water, humans are developing different diseases. For example: waterborne diseases cholera and diarrhea. These problems are only linked with poor hygiene and drinking water that is full of bacteria. The government should take action to provide clean water at every step of every door.
Furthermore, reduce social inequity, because providing safe water for free helps the low economic background to access clean water, because the poor community have difficulties accessing clean water, while the wealthier people can afford bottled mineral water. If government provide a basic quality of water without charges, everyone will be able to drink and use clean water, and if the government builds water filtration plants near every rural and urban area, everyone will have the basic right to get clean water.
In conclusion, clean water is a fundamental right of all humankind; for this reason every household should have a water supply that is free of any cost. I agree with this point because clean water is essential for living a healthy life, while some families do not have strong financial resources. In case clean water should be free of cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give relevant reasons concerning health and economic fairness. The examples of cholera and diarrhoea help explain the health argument, while the contrast between poorer communities and people who can buy bottled water supports your second point. However, the ideas are not developed equally: the health paragraph makes a broad claim about disease but could explain more precisely how free household provision would prevent it. The proposal for filtration plants is relevant, but its practical connection to free supply could be clearer. A more fully developed explanation of how the service would be funded or delivered would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the progression from health to social equity is logical. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or unclear. The second body paragraph begins with the fragment “Furthermore, reduce social inequity,” so the relationship between this point and the previous paragraph is not expressed in a complete sentence. Repeated use of “because” and “if” also makes some reasoning feel crowded. The final sentence, “In case clean water should be free of cost,” does not clearly connect to the preceding conclusion. Use clearer sentence links and avoid repeating the same connector.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “human survival,” “waterborne diseases,” “social inequity,” and “water filtration plants.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, some word combinations and expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “at every step of every door,” “low economic background,” and “free of any cost.” “Healthy life” and “basic quality of water” are also imprecise in context. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding your main argument, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim to learn common collocations for public services and poverty, and check whether a phrase sounds idiomatic before using it.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the government builds water filtration plants…” and clauses beginning with “because” and “while.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “Without access to safe water, humans are developing different diseases” uses an unsuitable verb form, and “the poor community have difficulties” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “Furthermore, reduce social inequity” is incomplete, while “If government provide” needs an article and correct agreement. The final phrase “In case clean water should be free of cost” is also structurally unclear. Practise complete sentence construction and check agreement and verb forms, especially in conditional sentences.
