Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that clean water should be supplied free, and you give relevant reasons concerning health and financial hardship. The discussion of disease and the difficulty of collecting water from distant locations addresses the main issue, while the reference to research in Delhi attempts to support your point with an example. However, the second reason is less fully explained, and the research example is vague: it does not specify what was found or how this supports free household provision. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a precise, relevant example. You could also address how free supply might be funded or managed, which would make your response to the proposal more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “Consequently” help signal relationships between points. At times, however, these links feel mechanical or do not clearly connect the ideas: the discussion moves from dirty water to malaria and then to an unclear research claim. Some references, including “both the point” and “there,” are difficult to follow, and the conclusion mostly repeats earlier claims rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences, make each paragraph develop one reason in sequence, and ensure pronouns refer unmistakably to their intended ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “essential,” “financial stress,” “desirable location” and “prominent areas,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. There is also some effort to use less common expressions, such as “accentuate” and “culminate,” but these are not always natural in context. Spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, for example “finacial,” “sutaible,” “essaintial” and “benificial”; phrases such as “low class profile” and “make one's work easy” are also imprecise. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, especially for discussing access, public services and health impacts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “every person have right” needs subject–verb agreement and an article, while “I am completely agree” uses an incorrect verb pattern. The sentence beginning “although some people…” is also not joined clearly to the surrounding idea, and several sentences contain comma splices or unclear clause boundaries. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; carefully check agreement, verb patterns and punctuation when editing.
