Student answer (Band 5.5)

Access to clean water is an essential human right, and everyone have right to use it without any cost. I completely agreed with him because when people drinks clean and pure water, they keep healthy. Some people say that, access of pure water cannot be reached in rural areas. So,the goveronment has started a project to supply a pure water in rural areas.

The reason, I agreed because when people drinks pure and mineral water then, they can prevent from harmful diseases. If the water can be supplied free of cost, the poor people drinking pure and clean water. It can also prevent the diseases like cancer and lungs issues. So, people drinking pure water have a good health. By owing of good health, they can perform thier duties well. They cannot prey any laziness. For example, last time when I cooked food. I used a little bit amount of dirty water. Due to this reason, I beyoned on bed for a week because I am seriously ill. I also admitted in the hospital for two days. This have been done by our carelessness.

There are some problems from the supply of water in rural areas. In rural areas, people can buy a pure water for their drinking but some people have enough amount to spend its own. They can use dirty water for their use. Due to this reason they become ill. Our goveronment should be worked on this issue and trying to reduced the problems. In this way they can also heip the needy peoples.

In conclusion, There are many benefits to supply a clean water. It keeps the people heathly. Without water people's cannot live on Earth. So water is necessary for life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be free, and you give relevant reasons, including protecting health and helping people who cannot afford safe water. The personal example about becoming ill after using dirty water also supports your argument. However, the response only partly develops the task. It does not explain how a free household supply could be funded or address the practical limits of providing it, and the point about rural access is introduced but not fully explored. Some claims, such as clean water preventing cancer, need more careful explanation or a more convincing example. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and relevant support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the topic. You use linking expressions such as “For example,” “Due to this reason” and “In conclusion” to show relationships between points. However, progression is sometimes repetitive: health benefits are repeated in several forms, while the rural-water point shifts between access, affordability and government action without a clear sequence. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “The reason, I agreed because” and “This have been done by our carelessness.” Organise each body paragraph around one distinct reason, then connect the explanation and example more directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “clean water,” “rural areas,” “diseases” and “government.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “access of pure water,” “a little bit amount of dirty water,” “prey any laziness” and “heip the needy peoples.” Spelling errors such as “goveronment,” “thier” and “heathly” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable set of phrases for discussing affordability, public provision and health, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise, natural expressions over repeating “pure” and “clean.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using clauses such as “because” and “when,” but the range is limited and complex constructions are often inaccurate. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in “everyone have right,” “people drinks” and “I completely agreed.” Articles and sentence patterns are also problematic, as in “supply a pure water” and “people's cannot live.” These errors recur and can make the reader pause, although the overall argument remains understandable. Practise forming accurate subject–verb combinations and use a small range of dependable complex patterns. For example, check each sentence for its subject and verb, and review articles with uncountable nouns such as “water.”
