Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is the essential part of our life. Each and every person has a right to get clean water. Hence, all the households should have the water supply for free of cost. I agree with this and will discuss the plausibles in the upcoming paragraphs.
In my perspective, people should have access to clean water. However, considering the scarcity of water in majority of the rural areas in India. People are bound to drink the polluted water from the canals or lakes. Otherwise, they will have to walk miles to get the clean water for their families. Government should install water pipes to increase the supply of clean water until then they should provide water tank facilities atleast 3 days in a week specifically to rural areas.
Secondly, in australia almost 70% people buy water packs from the supermarkets because the tap water doesn't suit them, they end up getting sick, upset stomach, and diarrehea.Hence, government should install water purifier system in each and every house for free of charge so that people can get the clean drinking water.
Additionally, government should tied up with the non profit organisations to increase the awareness of saving water so that people can stop wasting water by washing their cars with runny water, taking shower for longer duration, taking bath in the tub. This can help in saving the water and provide it to the people who need it the most.
In conclusion, I completely agree that water is the basic human right and people deserve to get the clean water for free of cost. Government should provide water in rural areas and run some awareness campaigns to educate about saving water so that we can provide it to each and every person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you agree that clean water should be available without charge. You give relevant reasons, including rural communities’ difficulty accessing safe water and the health risks you associate with unsuitable tap water in Australia. The practical suggestions about pipes, water tanks and purification also help address the issue. However, the response does not fully develop the central question of whether the household supply itself should be free: it shifts at points to providing infrastructure and raising awareness, without explaining who should pay or how free provision could be sustained. The Australia example is also asserted rather than supported. Develop these points with clearer reasoning and a more direct link to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present reasons and proposals, and the conclusion restates your position. Sequencing markers such as “Secondly,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. Some connections, however, feel mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the paragraph about buying bottled water moves quickly from people becoming ill to installing a purifier in every home, without explaining the link or considering the cost. The opening of the first body paragraph also uses a fragment after “However,” which interrupts the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “scarcity,” “polluted water,” “water pipes,” “water purifier system,” and “awareness of saving water.” These choices make the subject clear, and some less common terms show an effort to express specific ideas. However, several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “plausibles,” “for free of cost,” “runny water,” and “tied up with the non profit organisations.” Spelling errors such as “diarrehea” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim for standard collocations—for example, “the reasons for my view,” “free of charge,” and “partner with non-profit organisations”—and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “so that” and “because,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement and verb forms. For instance, “However, considering the scarcity of water in majority of the rural areas in India” is a fragment; it needs to be joined to a complete clause. “Government should tied up” has an incorrect verb form, while “70% people” and “the clean water” show problems with articles and noun phrases. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially where sentences run together after “diarrehea.” Practise building complete complex sentences and proofreading for these recurring patterns.
