Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, supply of clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every site of the country should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. I completely agree with this view beacuse water is necessary for growth of humans and play an important role in their life.

Firstly, focusing more on aquatic need helps human growth. By this i mean a person body contain 70% water therefore a fresh and clean water is very crucial for their lives because the growth is mostly depends on water. Secondly in every area of the country will have been constructing filter plants where individuals can get water without any cost. For instance in schools also provided a clean water for childrens because it helps the students for growing mentally and physically.

However on the other hand the sewage system will be failed and it can dirty the drinking water. The government play an essential role for that because the drinking water must be clean and fresh furthermore easy to access. For example drinking water is the basic need of every individuals so it can be reached to every home without paying any money. Water is important element on the earth without this life can not be exist hence pure aquatic life is mandatory on the earth to survival. By this i mean suitable steps must be applied for water delievery system because with this need individuals become healthy and wise.

In conclusion i strongly admired that water supply system must be provided without any cost and every corner of the earth the reason is that without fresh water life is not possible on the earth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that water should be supplied without charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water’s importance to health and the need for access in every home. The school example also helps illustrate the value of clean water. However, the response only partially develops the argument. The claim that free supply would cause the sewage system to fail is introduced but not explained or connected convincingly to your position. Several points, such as water supporting growth and people becoming “healthy and wise,” remain broad rather than being supported with specific reasoning or examples. To strengthen the response, explain how free household provision could be funded and maintained, and address the opposing concern about cost or waste. The 19 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable structure, with an introduction, supporting points, a contrasting point and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within the body paragraphs is not always clear: the discussion moves from human growth to filter plants, then to schools, and later to sewage without explaining how these points connect. Some transitions are mechanical or confusing, particularly “However on the other hand,” and repeated references to water and basic needs make the argument feel circular. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. Clearer links between claims and examples would make the overall progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “filter plants,” “sewage system,” and “water delivery system,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “aquatic need” does not naturally describe people’s need for drinking water, and “pure aquatic life” appears to mean access to clean water for human survival. There are also spelling errors such as “beacuse” and “delievery,” alongside repeated use of “water,” “important,” and “earth.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling; alternatives such as “household water supply,” “safe drinking water,” and “water infrastructure” would help express your ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason introduced by “because” and a contrast beginning “However.” Nevertheless, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction can make the reader pause. Examples include “a person body contain 70% water,” “the growth is mostly depends on water,” and “life can not be exist.” The sentence beginning “Secondly in every area” also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Punctuation is inconsistent, including the missing space after “water” before “The government.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and use shorter sentences when a longer one becomes difficult to control. Proofreading for articles and verb forms would improve clarity.
