Student answer (Band 5.5)
I somehow agree as well as disagree with the statement declared that Access to clean water is a basic human right. Agree because water is indispensible for human survival and every individula has a right to use it readily with own consciences. Government should be responsible for making this undeniably accessible for each and every citizen despite of their socio-economic situation. Safe drinking water prevent water borne diseases and illness to be spread. The low income societies and communities that are highly prone to that will be secured. Depriving people from their basic neccessity will cause severe illness and it's also the violation of human dignity.
Disagree for providing it free of cost as it would cause financial crises, so there should be some nominal chares implemented for everyone who is using this. Water is crucial for everyday needs so if the supply is with out any charges it would be use extravagantly and over consumption would be increased that is alarming. As Earth is undergoing vulnerable climatic changes so the preservation of water is significantly needed.
Different parts of world are under climatic disasters, Floods, Earthquakes become very common that can lead to the depletion of clean water so it should be paid. Water might be there in ample amount but it would be the clean water but not the potable one. If it provided timely and in specific amount to every area, it will allow the fair distribution to the rural and underprivileged communitites also. So the little bit amount should be cost for proper management of clean water distribution ans sterlization.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the statement and make your position clear: clean water should be accessible as a right, but households should pay a small charge for its supply. Relevant reasons include preventing water-borne illness, protecting low-income communities, and discouraging waste. This covers the task, but some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you say free provision could cause “financial crises” and extravagant use, but do not explain how a modest charge would balance affordability with conservation, or give a specific example. The discussion of floods and earthquakes is relevant to water security but its connection to household charges needs clearer explanation. Develop each main reason with a brief explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable progression: it first explains why clean water is a right, then presents reasons against making it entirely free, and ends with a recommendation for a small charge. This overall arrangement helps the reader follow your position. However, the opening phrase “I somehow agree as well as disagree” is imprecise, and the abrupt paragraph opening “Disagree for providing it free of cost” makes the shift between arguments feel mechanical. Some links between ideas are also unclear, particularly the move from climatic disasters to the claim that water should be paid for. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to your central argument. More deliberate paragraphing would also help separate the two sides and your final recommendation.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “human survival,” “socio-economic situation,” “water borne diseases,” “over consumption,” and “fair distribution.” These choices show an effort to discuss access, health, and conservation rather than relying only on basic terms. Some less common expressions are used inaccurately or unnaturally, however, such as “with own consciences,” “financial crises,” and “the depletion of clean water.” Spelling errors—including “indispensible,” “neccessity,” “communitites,” and “sterlization”—also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, explain that a free supply may encourage “excessive consumption” and that infrastructure requires “funding.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional construction in “if the supply is with out any charges it would be use extravagantly” and a relative clause in “communities that are highly prone to that.” This shows some range, but errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms recur and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. For example, “Safe drinking water prevent” needs subject–verb agreement, while “If it provided timely” is missing an auxiliary verb. The opening fragments “Agree because…” and “Disagree for…” are also not complete sentences. Practise building complete clauses and checking agreement, auxiliaries, and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
