Student answer (Band 6.0)

Pure Water is an essential right of every human being. It's considered as the most vital necessity of every home all over the globe. Hence, I agree that clean and fresh water should be available to people free of cost.

Firstly, as human body requires a specific amount of water each day. Around 4 to 5 glasses are important for an individual to keep his body in good health. However, some public don't maintain their water level which eventually leads to various medical diseases. Its seen that those who keep drinking water as much as necessary feel much active and thriving all the time. On the contrary who don't do so have to face a lot of health issues. Thus clean water availability with no charges will induce everyone to drink water as required.

Secondly, public at large scale don't have access to clean and drinkable water. Also those who live in rural areas often go to far distance in order to get pure water. Thus doing such an initiative will help these sort of individual to use and drink water without much effort. Futhermore, it will reduce the number of tube well bored everyday which will lead to better sea level, and help plants and animals grow in a better environment.

In conclusion clean water should be available to each individual without any bill. It will help people use water in their everyday life much efficiently. As water is a source of life not only for human being but also for animals and plants. Hence, it will be beneficial step in this regard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening: you agree that clean water should be provided free of charge, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including health benefits and the difficulties faced by rural residents who travel to obtain water. However, the response does not fully explain how making household water free would address these problems, and the claim that it would improve sea levels is unclear and needs a more convincing link. The health discussion also relies on broad claims rather than a specific example or explanation. Develop each main reason with a clear chain of reasoning and a relevant example, and address practical considerations such as how free supply could be funded or managed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the main ideas are generally grouped appropriately. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the clearer progression associated with a stronger response. However, links between claims are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, the move from free water to “better sea level” is not explained, and “On the contrary” does not clearly express the relationship between the two health claims. Use linking phrases that show the precise relationship between ideas, and add transitions that explain how each supporting point connects to your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “clean and drinkable water,” “rural areas,” “health issues,” and “environment.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “available to people free of cost.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, which limits clarity: “public at large scale,” “these sort of individual,” and “tube well bored everyday” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “Futhermore” and “Its” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable range of common academic collocations and check word forms and spelling; precise, natural phrasing will make your argument easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “who,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some sentences are controlled, such as “Thus doing such an initiative will help these sort of individual to use and drink water without much effort.” However, there are some errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. “Firstly, as human body requires…” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, while “On the contrary who don't do so…” lacks a clear subject structure. In “a lot of health issues,” the surrounding sentence also needs clearer punctuation and connection. Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and article use, while retaining your attempts at complex clauses.
