Student answer (Band 5.5)

As we know, water is so important for everyone to sustain their life. Therefore, supplying pure water for free of cost to citizens can be considered as human right. In my opinion, i strongly agree with this view because it is easily accessed to everyone or can prevents from health problems.

The primary advantage of supplying pure water to individuals is that it is beneficial for health. This is because drinking water from uncertified water plants can leads to serious health problems such as diarrhoea, stomach infection. For example, people who drink contamminated water can have serious health problems and require more medical treatments. As a result, governments should build pure water plants all over the country, therefore everyone can prevent from serious health issues.

Another significant benefit of giving pure water to everyone is that it is accessed to everyone. This is because people belongs to low-socio backgrounds can have a access to drink pure water and they can easily sustain their lives. For example, by reducing the cost of water for everyone can be a great step so they can spend their money on anywhere else. As a result, they can afford their family expenditures and stay away from health issues by drinking clean water.

To summarize, i completely agree with this opinion of providing pure water to everyone because it is easy to access and prevent people from dangerous health problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that clean water should be provided free, and you give two relevant reasons—protecting health and helping people on low incomes. The examples about contaminated water and household spending support the general direction of your argument. However, the discussion remains quite general, and the second reason is not fully explained: reducing water costs may help families, but you do not show how this supports the claim that every home should receive a free supply. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, which limits the opportunity to develop your ideas. Explain how universal free provision could be funded and why it is preferable to targeted support to make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate benefits, and a concluding summary. This makes your main line of reasoning easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “The primary advantage,” “Another significant benefit,” and “To summarize.” However, the repeated pattern of “This is because,” “For example,” and “As a result” makes the links feel mechanical, and some cause-and-effect connections are not fully clear. For instance, the first paragraph moves from building water plants to preventing health problems without explaining how free household supply would be ensured. Use a wider range of linking methods and make each example’s connection to its paragraph’s main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “health problems,” “low-socio backgrounds,” and “family expenditures,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main ideas. There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “significant benefit.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “free of cost,” “pure water plants,” and “accessed to everyone.” The spelling error “contamminated” also affects accuracy. These issues make the vocabulary sound less controlled, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Build a bank of natural phrases for this topic, such as “provide clean water free of charge,” “water-treatment facilities,” and “accessible to everyone,” and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For example.” This gives the response some variety, and the overall meaning remains understandable. However, errors occur in several sentence patterns: “i strongly agree” needs a capital letter, “can leads” should be “can lead,” and “people belongs” should be “people belong.” There are also problems with articles and sentence construction in “they can have a access” and “therefore everyone can prevent from serious health issues.” These errors show that complex structures are not yet consistently controlled. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
