Student answer (Band 5.5)
To access clean water is a basic human right thats why each home needs water supply with free of cost from government side. Personally, i am agree with this statement because it improves public health while it could create unfair tax burgens.
On the one hand , clean water plays a crucial role to keep healthy peoples . When the water is free in every house , then everyone can access clean water which help to become helthier them. It reduces healthcare costes and everyone can meets their basic personal hygeines.Water is the essensial ,if government gives free water to all peoples then basic human right upholds.
On the other hand , to give free water supply to all the houses can cause unfair tax burdens to peoples because for infrastructure and connection of water pipeline government need huge budget . Government should generate funds from publicks with taxes .
overall , both views are important

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant position, saying you agree because free water supports public health, while also recognising that it could create tax burdens. This addresses both the human-rights argument and a possible cost, but the response only partially develops the task. For example, you mention reduced healthcare costs and the expense of pipelines, yet do not explain how these points relate to whether every household should receive water free of charge, or provide a specific example. The conclusion, “both views are important,” also leaves your own position less definite than the introduction. The response is 94 words below the required minimum, so there is not enough development to support the main claims. Extend each reason with explanation or an example, and finish by clearly reaffirming your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a brief conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main points. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the conclusion does not clearly resolve the contrast or restate your position. Some links are mechanical or unclear: “When the water is free in every house, then everyone can access clean water” repeats the same idea, while “It reduces healthcare costes” has an unclear reference. Develop one point at a time, use pronouns with clear antecedents, and connect each explanation to the paragraph’s main claim. A fuller conclusion would also make the overall argument feel more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “public health,” “infrastructure,” “water pipeline,” “basic human right,” and “tax burdens.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “helthier,” “hygeines,” “essensial,” and “publicks.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “free of cost” and “unfair tax burdens to peoples.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. You could also vary repeated references to “water” and “government” with precise alternatives such as “household water provision” and “public authorities,” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and a more complex contrast, as in “Personally, i am agree with this statement because it improves public health while it could create unfair tax burgens.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and frequent errors affect accuracy and sometimes make meaning harder to follow. Examples include “i am agree” instead of “I agree,” “each home needs water supply” without an article, and “everyone can meets,” where the verb form does not agree with the subject. In “which help to become helthier them,” the relative clause and pronoun structure are faulty. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, and clear clause construction, then proofread punctuation and capitalisation. Building accurate sentences before adding more complex clauses will improve control.
