Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view in the conclusion: you agree that every home should have access to water, while allowing for a small charge to support services. You also recognise relevant issues, including the cost of treating and distributing water and pollution. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening argues for water “without any taxes,” whereas the conclusion says people “should to pay few taxes.” The reasons are also only briefly explained, and the discussion of water before factories existed does not clearly establish why household supply should be free today. State your position consistently and develop one or two reasons with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “In the begin” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the stages of your argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long, crowded sentences, and the relationship between them is not always clear. For example, the second paragraph moves from companies charging residents to water treatment and distribution without clearly separating these points. The contrast between the opening and conclusion also weakens the overall line of argument. Use shorter units to develop each main point, and make links between claims explicit rather than relying mainly on transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “pollution,” “services,” “quality,” and “water supply,” and you try to express ideas about treatment and distribution. However, the range is limited and many word choices, forms, and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “clear water” for safe drinking water, “health water,” “companys,” and “infectd main water.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “hard goods to aproved whit best quality.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would help you explain the costs of treating water and the principle of access as a right.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “On the other hand” and a reason introduced by “therefore.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some ideas hard to follow. For example, “some people think that you should paying” needs a correctly formed verb after “should,” while “our gonvernment should to fix” uses an incorrect verb pattern. The opening also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and several sentences run together without effective punctuation. Practise forming complete sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Review modal verbs, subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
