Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give two relevant reasons—helping people with limited means and protecting public health. The examples about using saved money for food and shelter and the risks of contaminated water support these points. However, both arguments remain quite general, and the claim that free water would make “the economy” stable or improve the government’s image is not explained. The disease example also needs greater accuracy and development. The response is 11 words below the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. This helps the reader follow the main line of argument. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance,” “because,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from household savings to labour, the economy, and government image without showing how these ideas connect. Phrases such as “as the result” are repeated and do not always link ideas smoothly. Use clearer topic sentences and develop one main point at a time, with more precise referencing and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fundamental right,” “public health,” “contaminated water,” and “water-borne diseases,” so the reader can understand your main ideas. There are also attempts to use less common expressions, such as “financially stable” and “precious lives.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive: “Getting the access of” and “the economy also stables” are not natural English, while “pure water” is less precise here than “clean drinking water.” Spelling errors such as “neccessities,” “dangue,” and “couldnot” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic collocations and check spelling carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a result clause introduced by “as the result.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “every individuals,” “water supply should be enable,” “it will also saves,” and “people … tends,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “Overall health of people changes” and the run-on sequence beginning “people who couldnot afford.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and separate long sentences into clear clauses.
