Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, a numerous disputes about allocation of funds and resources toward providing clean water supply for every home completely free of charge as a basic human right. in my opinion, i totally agree with providing clean water source is a basic human right and it should provided for free or for a little charge as much as possible.
On the one hand, clean water supply is crucial for life , some people says water is the life. Clean water will prevent many diseases affecting elderly, children and even young population, particulary kidney diseases, which is directly related to it such as kidney stones, hypertension and even more worse renal failure, consequently the uprising a generation who will be healthy free from many diseases which obviously will reduce the cost of treatment, laboratory investigationsand imaging, more over for the community prosperity as the economic circumstances would be enhanced.
On the other hand, providing clean water supply free of charges may let people waste it unconsiuosly, beside it will increase the weight on the government to provide it for every home and deliver this supply for the rural areas which isnnot that easy because of the sewage system and te road drilling will consume a cosiderable amount of time and money, beside allocation od many funds and resources toward it, which may has a bad impact on other services in the country as health and education.
To sum up, providing and supplement of clean water source is a basic human right and the government should provide it for every home at the lowest affordable price with out any questiouning to protect them from diseases and suffering the difficulties to reach the main city to get the clean source of water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water is a basic right, while allowing that a small charge may sometimes be necessary. You address both the benefits of access and the practical costs, including possible waste and the burden of supplying rural areas. These are relevant points, but some are less fully developed than others. For example, the health argument lists diseases and possible savings without explaining the link in detail, while the concerns about infrastructure and effects on health and education are also asserted rather than supported with a specific example. To strengthen the response, explain how your proposed low-cost approach would protect access while discouraging waste, and develop one or two examples more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present contrasting considerations, and the conclusion restates your position. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers follow this arrangement. However, some connections within paragraphs are mechanical or unclear. The first body paragraph moves from disease prevention to treatment costs and then community prosperity without clearly showing each step in the argument. The second paragraph combines waste, government costs, rural delivery, infrastructure, and other services in one long sequence. Use shorter units of reasoning and clearer references, explaining how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “basic human right,” “allocation of funds and resources,” “rural areas,” and “economic circumstances.” This gives you enough range to discuss both public-health benefits and the costs of provision. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “a numerous disputes,” “the uprising a generation,” and “the weight on the government” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also misspellings such as “unconsiuosly” and “cosiderable.” Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking spelling, and prefer precise, familiar wording when unsure rather than forcing an uncommon phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “On the other hand” and a concluding sentence with a purpose clause. The main ideas can generally be understood, but errors in sentence construction and control are evident. For example, “it should provided” is missing an auxiliary, and “some people says” has a subject–verb agreement error. Several sentences run together, particularly the first body paragraph, where clauses are joined without clear punctuation; this makes relationships between ideas harder to follow. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and missing or misplaced commas. Practise building complex sentences with one clear main clause, checking verb forms and agreement, and separating complete ideas with appropriate punctuation.
