Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is a basic human right. Some people believe that every home should have a water supply free of cost . I completely agree with this opinion because water is necessary for human life
To begin with, clean water is very curial for human survive. People need water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. Without clean water, people can suffer to many diseases. For instance, dirty water can cause stomach problems and also other serious illnesses. Therefore every person should have access to clean water, no matter how rich or poor they are.
Secondly, water without cost can help poor families. Many people cannot afford to pay for water because there income is low they have to spend most of there money on food, clothes, education and for other basic needs. If they have to pay for water, its become difficult for them to manage their daily expenses. For instance, poor families may have to chose between buying clean water and buying healthy food. This can negatively affect their health and quality of life. If the Government provides a free water supply to every home, these families can save money and use it for other basic needs. Moreover, free access to clean water can reduce the difference between rich and poor. In this way, everyone can enjoy a healthier and better life. Regardless of their finical situation.
In conclusion, I believe that every home should have access to clean water free of cost because it is essential for life and health. The government should take responsibility for providing clean water and educating people about its proper use.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue with relevant reasons: clean water protects health, and free provision supports low-income households. The examples of illness from dirty water and families choosing between water and food help explain these points. This meets the task well, but the two arguments are not equally developed: the health point is brief, while the affordability point receives more explanation. The claim that free access can reduce inequality is also asserted rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the response further, explain how governments could provide a reliable supply and briefly address the cost or practical limits of making it free to every household.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “To begin with” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress logically from health benefits to financial benefits, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Therefore,” and “Moreover” help show relationships. However, some connections feel mechanical, and the final fragment “Regardless of their finical situation” is detached from the sentence before it. The second body paragraph also contains several ideas in quick succession, making its progression less controlled. For a stronger flow, connect the inequality point directly to the explanation that precedes it, and ensure each paragraph ends with a complete sentence that leads naturally to the next idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “basic human right,” “serious illnesses,” “daily expenses,” and “quality of life.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “proper use” and “financial situation.” However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: “curial” for “crucial,” “human survive” for “human survival,” “there income” for “their income,” and “finical” for “financial.” Phrases such as “water without cost” and “free of cost” are understandable but less natural than “free water” or “at no charge.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing common, natural collocations; this will make your adequate range more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional “If they have to pay for water, it becomes difficult…” and the clause beginning “because it is essential for life and health.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “people can suffer to many diseases” has an incorrect construction, and “Many people cannot afford to pay for water because there income is low they have to spend…” joins two independent ideas without suitable punctuation or a connector. There are also errors in “its become difficult” and “families may have to chose.” Review sentence boundaries, subject–verb forms, possessives, and infinitive patterns. More accurate control of these structures would make your varied sentences easier to follow.
