Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, population of the world are rising alongside with that availability of clean water to human beings is becoming difficult. Therefore, some are demanding that the clean water is easily accessable for everyone because this is the fundamental right of them. Goverment should try to provide it without any fee. I strongly assert with it.

To initiate this discussion, one significant reason for this is that clean water is a basic need of humans. It assist us to maintain our health. Our body is demanding almost 1 litter water for consumption on daily basis. If we don't drink water we might died after some days. Mineral water is used to make our body parts work properly in an efficient manner. Dirty water may create dangerous substances in our body which may lead us to several disseases. For instance, there is a famous survining show on discovery channel which tell us about the essestial benefits of water and also the ways how we will get clean water during the surviving conditions.

Additionally, a further supporting point is that clean water is the fundamental need of individuals life. This will also aid our skin to glow if we consume more water on daily basis. Mineral water also regulate our bodies to perform energetic activities. For example, many skincare influencer run campaigns to drink more water on social media. They also suggest that this extend our life for some years.

Although, there is a school of thoughts that their supply must be paid and this will help the government to become financial stable. Moreover, they want that the goverment will get benefit from their compulsion.

To put it in a nutshell,I pen down saying that it is a responsability of a goverment that their every signle individual has a free access to a clean water because it is a native right of them and they don't charge even a single penny on it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly support free access to clean water, and you give relevant reasons connected to health and basic needs. However, the response only partly develops the central issue of whether every household should receive water free of charge. Much of the discussion explains why water is important, while the link between that importance and removing charges is asserted rather than explained. The skincare and survival-show examples are also general and do not provide much support for your argument. You briefly mention the opposing view that payment could support government finances, but do not respond to it. To strengthen the response, explain how free provision would protect people who cannot afford water and address how the service could be funded.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on related points, and signposts such as “Additionally” and “To put it in a nutshell” help show the direction of the response. However, progression is limited because the two main body paragraphs repeat that water is a basic need and discuss similar health benefits without clearly building separate arguments. Some links are awkward or unclear, such as “Although, there is a school of thoughts,” and the counterargument is not connected to a rebuttal. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph a distinct purpose, using references that clearly identify what “this” means, and explaining how each example supports the claim about free household supply.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fundamental right,” “clean water,” “financial stable” and “compulsion,” and the reader can generally understand your intended position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “availability of clean water … is becoming difficult,” “strongly assert with it,” and “native right”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “Goverment,” “accessable,” “disseases” and “responsability” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “access to clean water is becoming more difficult,” “strongly agree,” and “a basic human right,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including conditional forms such as “If we don't drink water we might died” and a relative clause in “a show … which tell us.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “population of the world are rising” has an agreement problem, while “It assist us” and “which tell us” also use incorrect verb forms. Other issues include “our body is demanding,” “their every signle individual has,” and missing or misplaced punctuation, as in “activities. For example.” Practise subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, and revise each sentence to ensure its clauses are complete and correctly connected.
