Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is widely believed that access to pure water is a basic human right so every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. I strongly agree with this view due to the fact that it prevents the physical diseases and it also help the deprived people who can not afford the minral water.

The main reason why i agree with this perspective is that it plays crucial role in public health. This is mainly because clean water yeilds the significant benefits in overall physicall wellbeing. In other words, It alleviate the germs that enters in our body whenever we intake the water. For instance, people who are drinking clean water they are physically healthy as compared to others who dont have a clean water. Therefore, Pure water is a basic human need.

Another significant reason for my opinion is that it helps the low income people who can not afford the water filteration plant or minral water to drink. Furthermore, it helps them to drink clean water that provided free of charge by the government. For example, those countries who facilitate their nation with basic need like water, gas,and transportation so it helps alot to the deprived people. Consequently, every home have a water supply and other facilities because these are their basic rights.

In cnclusion, although it is sometimes argued that every home ought to have a clean water facility without any cost. I strongly agree with this notion because it helps to decrease physical health issues and it also assist the low income residents.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you strongly support free household water. You give two relevant reasons—protecting public health and helping people on low incomes—and include examples. However, the explanations are brief or unclear in places: the claim that clean water “alleviate[s] the germs” does not explain how a free supply would ensure water quality, and the example about countries providing “water, gas, and transportation” is general rather than specific. The response also falls one word short of the required 250 words; the 12 words copied from the prompt are excluded from the count. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a more precise example to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “The main reason,” “Furthermore,” and “Consequently” help signal the progression. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical, with repeated “it helps” and “Therefore” rather than links that show the exact relationship between ideas. Some references are also unclear: in “it helps them to drink clean water,” “it” could refer to the government, the water supply, or the policy. Use more precise references and connect each example directly to the reason it supports; this would make the progression smoother and easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related terms such as “public health,” “low income,” and “basic human right.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, for example “overall physical wellbeing.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “minral,” “yeilds,” “physicall,” and “filteration.” Some collocations are unnatural or imprecise: “alleviate the germs” and “provided free of cost” do not express your meaning naturally. Repetition of “helps” and “clean water” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for water access and health, such as “reduce the risk of waterborne disease” and “provide a reliable supply.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whenever,” and “although,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “it also help” should be “it also helps,” “every home have” should be “every home has,” and “it plays crucial role” needs an article (“a crucial role”). In “clean water that provided free of charge,” the relative clause needs a verb form, such as “that is provided.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “i” and “In other words, It.” Practise checking agreement and complete clause structure while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
