Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be provided free, and you give relevant reasons, including the health risks of polluted water and the financial pressure on low-income families. The suggestion of filtered-water plants in villages also gives the response a practical example. However, the task is only partly developed: the argument largely repeats that water is essential and that people struggle with expenses, without explaining how free household supply could be funded or managed. The opening also restates the prompt rather than establishing a developed argument. To strengthen the response, explain one or two reasons in more depth and connect your healthcare experience to a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a recognisable line of thought, moving from the importance of water to illness, household costs, and a possible government project. However, the ideas are presented as one continuous block, so the reader has difficulty seeing the stages of the argument. Connections between points are often abrupt, and phrases such as “these days” and “other than” do not clearly show how one idea relates to the next. The final sentence about a single earner is not clearly linked back to the proposal. Use separate paragraphs for your position, health argument, financial argument, and conclusion, and use precise linking expressions to show cause, contrast, and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic necessities,” “polluted water,” “factories and industries,” and “living expenses,” so the reader can understand the main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “out of budget,” “so lame,” and “getting a clean water is like a magic.” Spelling errors such as “thpyhoid,” “diarhea,” and “unprivilaged” also make the writing less clear and weaken control of vocabulary. Aim for more precise, formal expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe water as “essential for survival” and say that families “struggle to meet basic expenses.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts some longer sentences to explain causes and consequences, such as the point that polluted water can make people sick. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and frequent errors in sentence formation and basic grammar sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “am agree with this statement,” “the world we are living is very modern,” and “if clean water is not provided free people drink.” Articles, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “which.” For instance: “If clean water is not provided, people may drink polluted water, which can cause serious illness.”
