Student answer (Band 6.0)

A number of individuals' hold belief that every home should have free cost of water supply have to provided since its a basic human right. I partially disagree with this statement a clean water should available to everyone. but providing unlimited water completely free of charge may not practical.

On the one hand, clean water is fundamental right, Government should ensure that everyone has to clean water. Firstly, clean water is essential for drinking, cooking and cleaning in daily our daily life. as well as without a clean water it would be impossible to stay hygienic, which effect negative impact on people. Secondly, providing water with low cost can support those people who cannot afford the utility bills. Therefore, Government should ensure that the expenses of clean water should be low cost and access able.

On the others hand, providing unlimited water to every house holds would be a significant problems for economics and environment , if individual do not pay for water they might overused of water at unusual things. for example; over washing car, over watering at garden and kids playing with water constantly. practically in the factory or productions can lead to exacerbate the environment. However, Government should grant the cost of water supply should be reasonable and poor households should be get water at free.

In conclusion, I firmly agree that access to clean water is fundamental humans right. Although, I completely disagree with the statement a free of charge in water supply. Government should provide free of cost particularly for poor households. also affordable cost for others individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you support access to clean water but oppose making all household use free, while proposing free provision for poorer households. You address both sides of the question and give relevant reasons, including hygiene, affordability, waste, and environmental effects. The examples of washing cars and watering gardens help illustrate your concern about unlimited free use. This meets the task well, though some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that industrial production can worsen environmental problems is not connected clearly to household water charges. To strengthen the response further, explain how a basic free allowance or targeted subsidy could protect access while discouraging waste, and develop the environmental point more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The progression from the right to clean water to the risks of unlimited free supply is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the organisation clear. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and punctuation and sentence boundaries interrupt the flow—for example, “but providing unlimited water…” follows a full stop with a lower-case opening, while “Although” begins a fragment in the conclusion. Some links between ideas are also abrupt, particularly the move from household waste to factories. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “fundamental right,” “utility bills,” “hygienic,” and “environment,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “overused” and “households.” This gives you enough vocabulary to communicate the main argument. However, inaccurate word forms and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “free cost of water supply,” “access able,” “over washing car,” and “over watering at garden” are examples. Spelling and word choice also need attention, including “economics” where “the economy” is intended. Build a bank of natural phrases for this topic and check whether each word fits its grammatical and contextual role. More precise vocabulary would make your argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea about people wasting water if they do not pay and a concession in the conclusion. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “every home should have free cost of water supply have to provided,” “which effect negative impact,” and “poor households should be get water at free.” Several sentences also run together or are punctuated as fragments, such as “Although, I completely disagree…” and “also affordable cost for others individuals.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation. Accurate control of these basics is the main step toward more effective complex structures.
