Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the topic and give a partly balanced position with “I agree as much as i disagree,” then mention public health and affordability as reasons for free water. However, the position is not explained clearly, and the response does not fully answer whether every household should receive water free of charge. The opposing side is introduced with “Now looking at demerits,” but the sentence stops before any argument is given; there is also no conclusion or relevant example. The response is substantially below the required minimum length, so the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. To improve, state a precise position, explain both sides with specific reasoning or examples, and complete the discussion and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by a paragraph on advantages and the start of a paragraph on disadvantages. Signposts such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “Now looking at demerits” help indicate the intended structure. However, the progression is incomplete: the final paragraph ends after “providing individual,” leaving the opposing point undeveloped, and there is no concluding paragraph to bring the argument together. Some linking is also repetitive or awkward, particularly “first of all” followed by “first and foremost.” Develop each paragraph around one complete point, use transitions only where they clarify the relationship between ideas, and finish with a conclusion that restates your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “public health,” “filtered,” “basic necessity,” and “afford,” which shows an attempt to discuss water access and its consequences. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “rigths,” “houeshold,” “accomodates,” and “tollfree.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “merits side of this trend” and “water accomodates multiple live form” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe water as “contaminated” rather than saying it “accommodates” harmful life forms, and use “free of charge” consistently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason introduced by “Moreover” and a clause beginning “considering the financial condition.” However, the range remains limited, and errors in sentence construction and agreement frequently make the meaning unclear. For example, “The basic human rigths of having clean water is” has a mismatch between the plural subject and verb, while “water should be filtered and clean so the risk of illness spread through can be avoid” contains several problems with clause structure and verb forms. The opening also has incomplete or unclear phrasing, and punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and verb forms before submitting.
