Student answer (Band 5.5)
In Recent years, the issue of clean water has sparked considerable debate. while some people believe that clean water should provided free of cost its basic right of every citizen. I strongly believe that a clean water supply should provided by Governments because its necessary. this essay will outline the reason for my viewpoint in details.
The primary reason why i agree with this view is that clean water and other basic needs Government should provide their citizens because they collect tax form individuals. This is important because peoples who tax payer they needed these basic rights free of cast from government for making their life easier. For instance a basic needed is water provided by institutions and everyone person have right a water supply provided their home without paying of any cost of this as the result, its clear that water is basic human right and everyone person deserve it.
Another compelling argument in support of my opinion is that these area where people drink contaminated water they which leads to serious heath problem. My suggestion is that world heath organizations should provide clean water in those areas where not aviliable clean water with the help of local government which ruled those area. for example some areas of Africa where clean water not provided they drink dirty water that lead to serious heath problems like dibties and others. There for i firmly believe that clean water is basic human right and world heath institution are concernes about this.
In conclusion i strongly agree with the view that water is basic human need its right of every human to drink clean water. i believe that policy maker of world heath institution are mainly view on that because its important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that clean water should be provided without charge, and you give two relevant reasons—government responsibility to taxpayers and the health risks of contaminated water. The examples about households and areas of Africa help connect these points to the topic. However, the argument is only partly developed. The first paragraph does not explain how tax-funded provision could work or address the practical question of whether all household water should be free. The second focuses on supplying water to places without clean water, which supports access to safe water more directly than free provision for every home. Develop these distinctions and explain each example more precisely to make the response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “The primary reason,” “Another compelling argument,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main stages. Within paragraphs, however, ideas sometimes run together, and links between claims are not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from taxation to citizens’ needs and then to the right to household water without clearly explaining the connections. The second paragraph shifts from contaminated water to what international organisations should do. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph’s reasoning progress step by step. Some linking phrases are also repetitive or awkward, so prioritise precise connections over adding more signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “contaminated water,” “tax,” and “serious health problems,” which allows you to communicate the central ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “free of cast,” “basic needed,” and “policy maker of world heath institution” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors, including “avil iable,” “dibties,” and repeated misspellings of “health,” also reduce clarity. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing public services, affordability, and health, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms with precise expressions would make the argument easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a relative clause in “people drink contaminated water … which leads to serious health problem” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in basic sentence patterns frequently make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include missing verbs in “clean water should provided,” agreement problems in “everyone person have,” and incomplete or poorly joined clauses such as “these area where people drink contaminated water they which leads…”. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention. Practise forming complete subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check that every clause has a clear subject and verb and that verbs agree with their subjects.
