Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is essential for every human beigns. Some people believed that the government should provide clean water to each home free of cost, while other believed that charges for the clean water should be impose by the government. I strongly diagree with this view because minimal charges should be taken by municiple corporation based on the usage. Therefore, it directly spread awarness of save clean water as well as high cost for water purification and maintance load which shared by public that indirectly help to make our economy stronger.
One main reason for take charges for clean water from individual is to use only required amount of water. For instance major use of water in household activity, if chages for the water usage people will take care of switch of the tap and also work on maintance of leakage. if no charge then no one will take care of lekage. This approch directly sprade awarness of save clean water otherwise they will face shortage of clean water.
Another reason to be considered is high cost required for the purification of water, to supply water to each home required huge construction and also maintance. Conversly, people pay minimal charges for usage of clean water will directly help to government for maintanace and it stronger our economy.
In conclusion, access to clean water is basic human right. I strongly believed that minimal charges should be impose by the government to supply clean water to every home because it directly spread awareness of save water among people and help to make stronger our econony as more money required for maintance and water purification.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you disagree with completely free provision and support minimal usage-based charges. You give two relevant reasons—encouraging conservation and helping cover purification and maintenance costs—and the household leakage example helps illustrate the first. This addresses the central question and shows some development. However, the response does not fully explore the tension between water as a human right and charging households; for example, it could explain how low-income families would still receive an affordable basic supply. The economic benefit is also asserted rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the argument further, develop each reason with a clearer explanation or specific example and acknowledge how your proposal protects universal access.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction stating your view, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. The ideas generally progress from conservation to the cost of supplying water. Linking phrases such as “For instance,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” help signal this organisation. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening contrast between “Some people” and “other” is not necessary to establish your own position, and the sentence beginning “Therefore” does not connect smoothly to the preceding ideas. Within the first body paragraph, the example and its explanation run together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph’s main point and supporting explanation follow a more deliberate sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “purification,” “usage,” “leakage,” “shortage,” and “maintenance,” and you attempt to express ideas such as conservation and public costs. This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate your main argument. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, including “beigns,” “diagree,” “municiple,” and “maintance.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “spread awareness of save clean water” and “maintenance load which shared by public.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, such as “raise awareness of water conservation” and “cover the cost of maintenance.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if charges for the water usage…” and a reason clause introduced by “because.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “other believed” needs a plural verb, “charges … should be impose” needs a passive participle, and “people pay minimal charges … will directly help” has an unclear clause structure. Several sentences also join ideas without appropriate punctuation, particularly in the first body paragraph. Practise building accurate conditional sentences and passive forms, then check that each sentence has a clear subject and finite verb.
