Student answer (Band 5.5)

The issue of clean water supply has become a subject of considerable debate in modern society. Although, the clean water is the necessary need of every home so the government must need to make sure the supply of clean water to every home so every home should have clean water for their daily need.

Water is used for many puposes in our life including drinking, washing and cleaning and without water the life is impossible so the access of clean water is necessary for every human being. The population in a society depends on the facilities available in the society especially, the availability of clean water and if there is an easy approach to the clean water so the population will prfer to live there. For instance, the population in big cities like Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad is increasing because people can get many good facilities there, especially the clean water rather than living in deserts or other places where there is no easy water access.

Additionally, the trend of animals living also depend of the availability of the water so they can drink water and live a good life in jungle. For instance, green grasy land have more species rather than a dry place because the availabilty of water is good.

The government and local people must need to make sure that they don't pollute the water by their actions like the used water of household activies is directly goes to the rivers and pollute the clean water and also factories used water also cause water poluttion and this polluted water is dangerous for humans, animals and water animals so there is a necessary need to take action against it so everyone in nature can get clean water.

To put in a nutshell, I pen down saying that government and people must need to take responsibility to not to pollute the water so everyone can have a access to clean water because it's a necessary need of every human being moreover, every home should have a water supply free of charge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a position that clean water should be available to every home and conclude that it should be free, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the central issue of whether households should pay is only briefly stated in the introduction and conclusion; most of the essay discusses access to water, population growth, wildlife and pollution. These points do not explain why a free household supply is preferable, or address possible costs and how provision could be funded. The examples about cities and green land support the importance of water, but are general and not clearly connected to the proposed policy. Develop two or three reasons specifically about free provision, explain each, and support them with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a concluding paragraph, and its ideas are broadly grouped by topic. Basic signposting such as “Additionally,” “For instance” and “To put in a nutshell” helps show some relationships. However, there is no clear progression toward an argument about free household supply: the discussion moves from human access to population, then animals, then pollution. Several sentences are overloaded with repeated ideas and multiple links, particularly the opening and the paragraph about pollution, making relationships difficult to follow. Some connections are also mechanical, with repeated “so” and “and.” Give each paragraph one clear argumentative purpose, use more precise links between claims and evidence, and make the conclusion follow directly from the reasons presented.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “availability,” “facilities,” “pollute” and “species,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “clean water,” “necessary need” and “make sure.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “puposes,” “prfer,” “grasy” and “availabilty,” as well as unnatural combinations like “easy approach to the clean water” and “water animals.” These choices sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Build a more precise range for discussing public services and costs, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, use “access to a reliable water supply” rather than “easy approach to the clean water.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “so,” but complex structures are often not controlled, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “Although, the clean water is the necessary need … so the government must need” combines clauses incorrectly, while “the trend of animals living also depend” has subject–verb disagreement. In “the used water … is directly goes,” the verb pattern is faulty, and several sentences run together without effective punctuation. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, then check agreement, verb forms and punctuation. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
