Student answer (Band 5.0)
Water is the basic and important need of life. Access to clean water is a basic human right, therefore everyone and every house should have a water supply and that is provided free of charge with the help of government. I am agree with the statement because without water we cannot survive.
Access to clean water is basic right of all humans, i waould say that clean water should be free and easily approachable for all humans. Because when we pay taxes to the government so they should think about their people. For example, if the government provide filter water cooler to every home and also in the public areas, so all the people will easily access to the clean water and they can easily drink.
Additionally, all humans cannot survive without drinking clean water. Because drinking water can help our body hydrated, and it help our kidney to filter water. When we drink clean water it plays a vital role in our body. For example, if a person cannot have easily access to the clean water, so for many days his body will be dehydrated, and all parts of his body will be unfuntional, and he will be near to the death.
In conclusion, clean water is the most important need of our life. In my opinion it is most important for the government to provide easily clean water to the people. Because if we drink water on regular basis, so it will help our body keep hydrated, and all parts of our body will work very well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position in favour of free water, and your reasons—fair access and the health consequences of dehydration—are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops the argument: the tax point is asserted rather than explained, and the example of providing a water cooler to every home does not clarify how this would work or be funded. The conclusion repeats the health point instead of drawing the reasons together. The response is also one word below the required minimum; the 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain the practical meaning of “free” water and develop each reason with a specific, well-explained example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly group related points. However, progression within paragraphs is often repetitive, and links between ideas can feel mechanical. “Because” begins several sentences without a complete preceding clause, while “For example” introduces examples that are not fully explained. The repeated focus on water’s importance in the body and conclusion also limits development. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to the claim it supports, and vary linking methods. This would make the argument easier to follow while preserving the useful overall paragraph structure already present.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “basic human right,” “provided free of charge,” “dehydrated” and “plays a vital role.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “easily access to the clean water” and “most important need of our life.” Spelling errors, including “waould” and “unfuntional,” also reduce accuracy. Choose more natural collocations and avoid repeating “clean water” and “body” when a precise alternative is available. For example, you could describe reliable access to safe drinking water and explain its effects on public health.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to express reasons and examples, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors include “I am agree,” “when the government provide,” and “it help our kidney,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Several sentences beginning with “Because” are fragments, and conditional phrasing such as “if a person cannot have easily access … so” is not controlled. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement, and use a smaller number of well-controlled complex structures before attempting longer constructions.
