Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give two relevant reasons—health protection and support for poorer people. The example about dirty water causing stomach and kidney problems helps illustrate the health point. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the second reason is introduced but not explained, and there is no discussion of how free provision could work or why it should apply to every household. The conclusion is also missing, so the argument remains incomplete. The response is 146 words, below the required 250, which limits the opportunity to develop and support your ideas. Extend each reason with explanation and a specific example, then summarise your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “TO BEGIN WITH,” and a further point introduced by “ADDITIONALY.” These markers help the reader identify the main ideas, and the health example follows the point it is intended to support. However, progression is limited: the final paragraph stops after one sentence, and there is no concluding paragraph to bring the argument together. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, as in “CONSEQUENTLY, IT WILL CMPLETE HIS WATER DEFICIENCY,” which does not clearly connect to the preceding explanation. Develop each paragraph around one complete point, use clear links between cause and result, and add a conclusion that restates your view.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “clean water,” “human right,” “diseases,” and “kidney problems,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main reasons. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. For example, “far away from the diseases” does not express the intended meaning naturally, while “good intake” and “water deficiency” are imprecise in this context. There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “TITALLY,” “FUTHERMORE,” and “BENIFITS.” Build a small set of accurate phrases for discussing access, affordability, sanitation, and public health, and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, such as “WHEN A PERSON DRINK A DIRTY WATER IT CAUSE STOMACH ACHE AS WELL AS CAUSE KIDNEY PROBLEMS.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but the range remains limited and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Subject–verb agreement is a recurring issue: “every household HAVE,” “it PROVIDE,” and “a person DRINK” need matching verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a dirty water” and the long example sentence without clear punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
