Student answer (Band 5.5)

The above point of view is a right point water is our basic human right as well our daily essential part of the life.

I strongly agree with the point of clean water should be free of charge it shpuld be provided but the government as everyone should have the accessesibilty to get it without any charge.

As in real life ive seen many problems related to water supply in rainy season most of time people used to get supply of dirty water with germs & some people dont even have the facilities of gas or inductions where they can boil & have the water to drink they use to consume as it was & many of them have got hospitalized with saviour health issues.

The government doesn't even bother wheather people are dying or living. Some people dont even have money to buy a pure mineral water everyone cant afford the same daily use water to buy.

The main reason is due to politics conflict common people has to suffer with many issue, if everyone agrees for a good change all can make a strong govt & get all basic essential without any cost.

However, the government should make it free for all individual home a free supply of clean water where they can happily consume & live a healthier life, it should be cost free with a single rupee of charge if for water only people have to pay many people will die on daily basis.

Therefore, it will be a good initiative to make a change for a better life as an responsible person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that clean water should be supplied to homes free of charge. You address the central issue and give relevant support, especially the example of households receiving contaminated water during the rainy season and people becoming seriously ill. However, some parts of the argument are less fully developed. For instance, the claim that political conflict is the main cause of water problems is introduced without explaining how it affects supply or how free provision would address it. The conclusion repeats your position but could more clearly summarise the reasons. To strengthen the response, explain the practical benefits and implications of free household water, and develop each supporting point with a specific example or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a concluding statement. The ideas about unsafe water, affordability and government responsibility are relevant, and transitions such as “However” and “Therefore” help signal movement between points. However, progression is not consistently clear: the paragraph beginning “The government doesn't even bother” shifts from health risks to affordability and then to political conflict, making the relationship between these points difficult to follow. Some linking phrases, including “The main reason,” suggest a cause-and-effect connection that is not explained. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then use clear references and transitions to show how the example supports it. This would reduce repetition and make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water supply,” “germs,” “mineral water,” and “basic essential,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “a right point” is not a natural way to describe an argument, and “saviour health issues” appears to mean serious health problems. “Accessesibilty” and “wheather” also contain spelling errors. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. You could use terms such as “safe drinking water,” “waterborne illness,” and “affordable access” to express your ideas more accurately and avoid repeating “free” and “water” without elaboration.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “I strongly agree with the point of clean water should be free of charge” lacks a grammatical link between “point” and the following clause. In “everyone should have the accessesibilty to get it,” the sentence structure and article use need attention, while “if everyone agrees for a good change all can make a strong govt” has unclear clause boundaries and punctuation. There are also errors in verb forms, agreement and sentence boundaries. Practise building complex sentences with clear connectors, and check each sentence for a complete main clause, consistent tense and appropriate punctuation.
