Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is believe that the value of water in our life can not be denied. It is the second most important need of human body. I fully agree with the statement and the reasons are discussed in the following paragraphs.

First main reason is that we can not have a healthy life without clean and drinkable water. For that the goverment should make policies and create a structured plan on what adequate changes has to be made in the pipe lines so that it can covers all the households in an area. The officials has to decide it before starting any work like they have to perform research on how to cut the cost of a project which also delivers to everyone in a city. For example, people from poor Africans state have the more percentage of getting a desease beacause they do not have access to clean and drinkable water.

Second reason is that every person give tex to the goverment and the water is also a basic human right. The right which is created by United Nation Organization. So if clean water is available to every person in this country. Their chance of getting sick will beacome minimum and they contribute towards the betterment of the country.

In the conclusion, the water does not have to be a luxury only rich people can afford. It has to be in the access of each individual who is living in a country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I fully agree,” and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons, focusing on health and the government’s responsibility to provide water. The example about people in African states also supports the health argument. However, the discussion is brief and some points are not fully explained: the claim that citizens pay taxes does not clearly show why water should be free, and the reference to the United Nations is not connected to a specific right or policy. The response also falls 8 words short of the required 250-word minimum. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or example, especially how free provision could be funded and delivered.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “First main reason,” “Second reason,” and “In the conclusion” helps readers follow the argument. This gives the essay an overall coherent arrangement. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt: the first paragraph moves from health to infrastructure costs without clearly explaining the link, while the second shifts from taxes to human rights and then national improvement. Some references, such as “The right,” are unclear. Use linking sentences to show how each supporting point develops the main reason, and make references explicit rather than relying on fragments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “clean and drinkable water,” “policies,” “households,” “basic human right,” and “betterment of the country.” These choices make the main ideas understandable, and there are attempts to use more formal language. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision, including “the value of water in our life,” “poor Africans state,” “give tex,” and “in the access of each individual.” Some repeated wording, particularly “clean and drinkable water,” also limits variety. Aim for more natural topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, use “safe drinking water,” “African countries,” and “pay taxes.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a purpose clause in “so that it can covers all the households” and a conditional idea about the chance of becoming sick. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as longer structures. Examples include “It is believe,” “the officials has to decide,” “every person give,” and “it can covers,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. The sentence beginning “The right which is created by United Nation Organization” is also incomplete. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning remains recoverable. Practise accurate agreement and complete clauses before adding more complex structures.
