Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly agree that government should provide clean water, and the conclusion returns to this view. You give relevant reasons about health and hygiene, with examples involving illness and washing a car. However, the response only partly develops the issue of free household supply. The health discussion is broad, and the car-washing example does not explain why water should be free for every home. The paragraph beginning “However” raises waste but does not develop a balanced response or explain how restrictions would work; it also briefly shifts to agriculture. To strengthen the argument, explain who should pay, how free access could be funded, and how essential use could be protected while discouraging waste.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “However” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links between claims are unclear. For example, the move from washing a car to removing pathogens and then to a “clean environment” does not establish a strong chain of reasoning. The counterargument is very brief and the sentence “Apart from that” introduces a point that seems to support your position rather than extend the concern about waste. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports; develop the counterargument before returning to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “bacteria,” “kidneys,” “pathogens,” “agriculture” and “hygienic,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “safe people for” diseases, “drity water,” “clearning purposes,” “souce” and “wasteage.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “clean and safe environment” and “better lifestyle.” Aim to learn vocabulary in natural combinations—for example, “protect people from disease,” “contaminated water” and “maintain hygiene”—and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise language would make your reasons clearer without relying on repeated references to “clean water” and “good” health.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, examples and contrast, such as “I strongly agree with this view because…” and “However, supplying free of cost water can increase the wastage of water.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “Clean water is one of the basic human right” needs a plural noun, while “Unhealthy water contain” has a subject–verb agreement error. “It remove all dust” and “a person can daily wash its car” also show problems with verb agreement and pronoun use. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses. Check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb and appropriate articles.
