Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is the fundamental element of human body as for surviving in this planet we need pure water . I mostly agree with the prompt that access to clean water is basic human right and so for that every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. Although I do believe that the availablity of pure water in the planet is decreasing day by day , but its government duty to ensure the pure supply of water in every house of the state for the following reason.
First of all, human body just don't need water to survive they need pure water beacuse contaminated water is the root of various disease. There are many disease that spread due to drinking polluted water such as diarrhea, cholera etc. So if authorites fails to give clean water in the housing it will create bad impact on its people's health.
Second and further most, pure water not only essentail for human body its also has usage on our important activities like cooking, cleansing , farming etc. So, authorties should take proper steps to provide pure water and also it should on free of cost. If the authorities put a price on clean water , poor people will face difficulties to access it. For example, in most of the 3rd world country over 60% people live below the poverty line. So, limiting the clean water to them it will impact on their health as a result overall population will be collapse. Therefore, not to mention free clean water should be basic right of every human being.
Nevertheless, it is quite evident that from the passing decades the scarcity of pure water is noticeable. As human uncontrolled behavior of exploiting nature in the name of development and progress , many of our sources of pure water in the planet like river, pond , lake etc was being destroyed by them . So government as well as world leaders should work together to save the natural resources of pure water as well they also should introduce more machines that can help to purify pollluted water so that authorities can supply water to every citizen of nation of free of cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you mostly agree that clean water should be supplied free, and you give relevant reasons concerning health, household uses and affordability. The examples of waterborne illnesses and people living in poverty help support your argument, while the final paragraph recognises scarcity and proposes purification and conservation. This covers the task well, but the support is uneven: the claim that more than 60% of people in “most” developing countries live below the poverty line is broad and not explained, and the scarcity paragraph focuses more on supply solutions than on whether households should pay. To strengthen the response further, develop that qualification and explain how free provision could be balanced with limited resources. (The response meets the required length; 12 words copied from the prompt were not counted.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a concluding paragraph that adds a qualification about scarcity. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Second,” and “Nevertheless” make the direction of the argument easy to follow. However, some linking is mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For example, “So limiting the clean water to them it will impact on their health” does not clearly connect the proposed price with the consequence, while “Therefore, not to mention” is an awkward transition. The final paragraph also introduces conservation and purification without clearly returning to the central question of free household supply. Use fewer formulaic connectors and make each paragraph’s main point and its link to your position explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “poverty line,” “scarcity,” “natural resources” and “purify,” which allows you to discuss health, access and supply. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “authorities should take proper steps.” However, noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors reduce precision: “availablity,” “disease” where a plural is needed, “free of cost,” and “the population will be collapse” are examples. Some expressions are also vague or unnatural, such as “human uncontrolled behavior” and “in the name of development and progress.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this would make the argument sound more fluent and precise without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concession with “Although” and conditional reasoning with “If the authorities put a price on clean water.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For instance, “human body just don't need water … they need” shifts between singular and plural agreement, and “it will create bad impact on its people's health” has unclear reference and article use. The sentence beginning “As human uncontrolled behavior…” is also not a complete, well-formed clause, and “the population will be collapse” uses an incorrect verb construction. Practise building complex sentences with a clear subject and main verb, and check agreement, articles and verb forms when editing.
