Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, availability of clean water is a very serious concerns. To access of clean and hygienc water is the bacic human needs. Therefore, every resdientials should have a water supply that is provided free of charges. I strongly agree with this because availabilty of clean water to every indivduals is the responsibilty of governemnt and it also prevent different type of diseases.
Today, most of the underground water are unhygienc and not able to drink by the individuals. The main cause of this due to mixing of the underground water with severage water supply. When people use this mixed water they are effected by different diseases such as plague, dysentry, diarrhea and hepatitis B. So, the supply of clean water by the governemnts is the key responsibilty becuase socities pay heavy taxes.
Secondly, providing free water to can support poor and low income families in developing countries, people struggle to afford their basic human needs because of unemployment and rsing living costs. if the governemnt provide free water supply to these families, they save money and use it on other essential needs, such as education, healthcare and food. For example, low income rsining in rural areas face challenging to fulfill their basic needs , so free access to clean can significantly improve their quality of life.
In conclusion, although free access to clean water to every family is difficult because most of the people misuse of these facilities and waste water. I strongly agree with this statement every household should recieve a clean and hygienc free water supply because it is essential for public health and survival. However, these polices can reduce the financial burden and help to create a healthy society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you strongly agree that households should receive clean water free of charge. You address relevant reasons, including public health and the support this could provide to low-income families, and the examples of waterborne illnesses and rural households help make the argument concrete. This fully covers the task’s central issue and shows some development beyond a simple opinion. However, the argument that governments should provide water because people pay heavy taxes is asserted rather than explained, and the concern about misuse and waste appears only in the conclusion without being explored. Develop these points and explain how free provision could be managed to make the case more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages, and each body paragraph has a central focus. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “The main cause of this due to…” does not clearly link the claim about unsafe groundwater to its cause, while the sentence beginning “Secondly” combines several ideas without clear boundaries. The conclusion also introduces water misuse abruptly. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each explanation directly to its claim, and make references such as “these facilities” precise. This would strengthen progression and cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “underground water,” “diseases,” “low income families,” “financial burden,” and “public health,” so the reader can understand the main argument. There are also attempts at more specific terms, such as “dysentery” and “hepatitis B.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to process: “hygienc,” “severage,” “rsining,” and “availabilty” are examples. Several phrases are also unnatural, including “free of charges,” “basic human needs,” and “face challenging to fulfill.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “free of charge,” “basic necessities,” and “struggle to meet their needs.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a conditional structure in “if the government provide free water supply…”. These attempts help express causes and consequences, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “most of the underground water are,” “When people use this mixed water they are effected,” and “if the government provide,” where agreement or verb forms need correction. Some sentences also lack a complete grammatical structure, such as “The main cause of this due to mixing…”. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete clauses, and sentence boundaries, then proofread longer sentences to ensure each clause is correctly formed.
