Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a clear position in favour of free access, stating, “i am completely agree with this opinion,” and give a relevant reason: clean water supports health, while poor families may struggle to afford it. The examples of drinking, cooking and waterborne diseases also relate directly to the question. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not explain how water should be provided free of charge, consider costs or practical implications, or develop the affordability point. The final sentence is incomplete, so the argument ends without a clear conclusion. The response is also 120 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop and support the ideas. Add a second developed reason and a concluding statement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening introduces the topic, a sentence states your position, and “first of all” signals a supporting point. The health explanation follows a generally relevant sequence, moving from everyday uses of water to possible illness. However, the overall progression is limited because the response contains only one developed body point and ends abruptly with an unclear sentence about government support. Connections between ideas are sometimes difficult to follow, particularly where the sentence beginning “it is families accesss” appears to be missing words. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and the conclusion; then connect each claim to its explanation with clear referencing and linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “human survival,” “safe drinking water,” and “waterborne diseases.” These terms show an attempt to discuss the issue specifically rather than relying entirely on general language. However, the range remains limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “compulasory,” “payed,” “affort,” and “duffculties.” Some phrases are also not expressed naturally, including “healthy life” and “elder people.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “essential human need,” “afford the cost,” and “older people,” while keeping the wording clear and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts a few different sentence patterns, including a reason clause with “because” and a result clause describing health problems. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make the intended meaning unclear. For example, “i am completely agree” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “Although every home should water supply is provided” does not form a complete, accurate clause. The sentence beginning “it is families accesss” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and the final sentence is incomplete. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including sentence openings such as “some people” and “therefore.” Practise complete subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses using “because,” “if,” and “therefore.”
