Student answer (Band 5.5)

Water is an essential element of our life, without it humankind' survival is inevitable. In our society indvidual have to pay for their basic needs, like water, gas and electricity bills which should free to use and I strongly agree with it.

In current times having water in landlock areas has became more challenging as population growth has been increasing day by day and the need of water as well, the use of water has severe impact on hunger and thirst, water supply is crucial for crops to grow, many farm land suffer from inconsistent water supply as a result farmer are not able to provide the sufficient amount of crop needed each year, and government had to import the crop from other countries which leads to financial crisis.

In Addition, there are several renowned mineral water companies that provide drinkable water at very high price which middle class families can not afford. Water qualilty is also one of the biggest concern, although in many areas water supply has been consistent but many young children suffer from diherea and several other health issues due to the lack good quality water and its affordability. Government should take strict action against these companies and, facilitate its nation with free water supply these counter measures will have long lasting imapact on coutries hunger rate and can also put less strain of health care system.

In Conclusion, water is the basic need of every human being without it a nation survival in next to impossible, without water crop can not grow which lead to hunger and put immense pressure on countires economy, water quality is another big concern, big comnpanies sell mineral water at high prices hich people can not afford.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly support free water provision, and the response stays relevant to the question. You give several pertinent reasons, including water’s importance for crops and food security, the cost of bottled water, and health risks from poor-quality supplies. These examples show a reasonable understanding of the issue. However, the argument does not fully explain the central proposal that every home should receive water free of charge. For instance, the discussion of mineral-water companies does not distinguish bottled water from a household public supply, and the agricultural point is not directly connected to how free domestic water would address crop shortages. Develop these links and explain how the service could be funded or managed to make the position more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with relevant points, and a conclusion. The ideas generally relate to the topic, and connectors such as “In Addition” and “In Conclusion” help signal stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined into long sentences, particularly the discussion of farming, imports and financial problems. Some links are also unclear: the shift from household water to mineral-water companies and then to children’s health needs a more explicit explanation. Use shorter sentences to separate each reason, and make the relationship between claims clear with precise referencing and linking rather than relying mainly on basic transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “population growth,” “inconsistent water supply,” “drinkable water,” “health issues” and “financial crisis.” These terms help communicate the main concerns and show attempts to use language beyond basic everyday vocabulary. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “water in landlock areas,” “the use of water has severe impact on hunger,” and “put less strain of health care system.” Spelling errors, including “qualilty,” “diherea” and “comnpanies,” also reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for more natural combinations such as “water scarcity in landlocked areas” and “place less strain on the healthcare system,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as” and “although,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences where several clauses are joined without clear punctuation. Examples include “In our society indvidual have to pay…” and “many farm land suffer…,” which show problems with articles, number agreement and verb forms. The opening sentence, “without it humankind' survival is inevitable,” also has a faulty construction that obscures the intended meaning. Work on subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, and check that each sentence has a complete, grammatically clear structure. Breaking up the longest sentences would help you show your ideas more accurately.
