Student answer (Band 5.5)

In all over the world Clean and mineral water is a basic right of every human. Therefore, every home in the world should have a water supply that is cost free for all. I completely, agrees with this point of view.

Firstly, water is a main source of everyone's life. Over body compromises about 75% of water and we know that it is the main part of our body. Water gives us energy because it has a lot of minerals that is perfect for our body, water gives our muscles strength and filters our kidney also. Furthermore, high use of water gives us healthy and cure from much dieases that is much dangerous for our health, such as if we don't use mineral or pure water then we should have a disease of Blood cancer that is much dangerous for humans, if it can not be cured on time that a person leads to death.

On the other hand, the government should make a plain to supply pure and safe water for people, they should make a proper system for water management for humans to cure from dangerous dieases. They should establish water plants in every city streets for people, by which everyone can drink water. Our government also contructs indutries and water supply plants by which everyone can use this water supply lane and get their life happy and joyful. For example, in all around the world thousands of people die is because of unclean and dirty water, if we build a system where everyone can drink pure water, then the death rate is compratively much lower.

In conclusion, healthy and clean water is the everyone's basic and complusary need. So, our government should make a plain and supply pure and mineral water to all people in their country to make every individual's life happy and joyful.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and the response stays focused on water access. You give relevant reasons, including water’s importance to health and the government’s role in providing infrastructure, and the example about deaths from contaminated water supports your argument. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that drinking unclean water can cause “Blood cancer” is not explained or reliably supported, and several health claims are asserted rather than clarified. The essay also does not directly consider why water should be free, rather than simply supplied safely. Develop fewer points with accurate explanation and examples, and address the cost aspect explicitly to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the argument, and the main ideas are generally grouped by topic. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined together, particularly in the first body paragraph, where health benefits, minerals and disease are presented in a long sequence. “On the other hand” also suggests a contrast, although the following paragraph continues to support government provision rather than presenting an opposing view. Use clearer topic sentences, divide explanations into shorter steps, and choose linking expressions that accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “water management,” “water supply plants,” “pure and safe water,” and “death rate.” This gives the response enough language to communicate its general argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning unclear. Examples include “Over body,” “cure from dangerous dieases,” and “make a plain”; repeated use of “happy and joyful” adds little precision. Spelling errors such as “contructs,” “indutries,” and “complusary” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for water access and public services, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas sound natural and exact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if we build a system … then the death rate is … lower.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “I completely, agrees” has incorrect subject–verb agreement and punctuation, while “Water gives us energy …, water gives our muscles strength” joins independent clauses incorrectly. “Over body compromises about 75% of water” also has several grammatical problems. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with clear clause boundaries and consistent subject–verb agreement.
