Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays water pollution is becoming the one of the great problem in all over all world. Water is basic need of any person who show presence on earth. Due to water pollution usually tab water can not remain drinkable. I am strongly agree on that access to clean water is basic human right and its supply to all homes must be without any charges because of some reasons includes polluted water causes many water borne-diseases and major portion of population specially in Pakistan unable to buy the filtered water.

Firstly, water contaimination by industries and domestic wastes increased with the passage of time all over the World and Pakistan is suffering the same issue. The polluted water allow thousands of bacterias and other viruses to grow in which cauase numbers of water borne-diseases . For example in Pakistan Hepatitist E is one the disease which cause polluted water and become the major heath issue. it estimated that 3 out of 10 suffer from this disease in Pakistan. Hepatitist E causitive agent is present in conataiminated water effect from industrial chemical waste. In addition to this, sewerage waste also mixed with clean water which cause this disease. So, the numbers of patients suffering from this disease can be decrease by providing clean water because it is human right.

Secondly, in Pakistan population can not able to purchase water for drinking purposes. For instance a survey was perform on standard of living and life style in Pakistan in 2020 the results was very shockig. About 80% population are includes in Middle class, below middle class and poverty line. If in any conutry this is the sitation then how any person can afford to buy water to drinnk it. So, to provide the clean water in all homes free of cost is the only solution to provide clean water to everyone.

In conclusion i must say that water is person's basic need. Rising in the water pollution issue can be solve only by providing clean water supply at homes in this way we can make sure that every person either rich or poor consume safe water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that clean water should be supplied to homes without charge, and the conclusion restates this view. Both main reasons are relevant: polluted water can cause illness, and many people in Pakistan cannot afford drinking water. The examples about hepatitis E and household affordability help support your argument. However, the health example is more developed than the affordability point, which relies mainly on a broad survey claim and a rhetorical question. The response also focuses on free clean water but could explain more directly why this is a right and how free provision should work. More precise evidence and fuller development of the second reason would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples generally appear in the relevant paragraphs. This gives the response a coherent arrangement. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear: “So, the numbers of patients… can be decrease” does not clearly show how the preceding details lead to the proposed solution, while “In addition to this” introduces another cause without a precise link to the disease example. Use clearer referencing and vary transitions by showing the exact relationship between each claim and its support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water contamination,” “industrial chemical waste,” “water-borne diseases,” and “poverty line,” which helps communicate the subject and your reasons. There are also attempts at more specific terms, such as “causative agent.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, for example “contaimination,” “bacterias,” “shockig,” and “drinnk.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “tab water,” “show presence on earth,” and “the only solution to provide clean water.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, such as “tap water,” “be present on Earth,” and “provide access to clean water.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “if,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. Examples include “I am strongly agree,” “the polluted water allow,” and “the results was,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are faulty. Articles and sentence construction also need attention: “it estimated that” lacks a clear grammatical subject, and “how any person can afford to buy water to drink it” is awkwardly formed. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences first, then extend them with subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, and punctuation.
