Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a universal fact that water is necessary for life on any place, without human body can't function properly. Even humans unable to survive without it and die in two or three weeks. So, it is basic human right to have access to clean water. It is considered that every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. I strongly agree with that statement.
To begin with, clean water supply should be free because it makes sure that people should live healthy life, which ultimately reflects in the growth of any nation as healthy people work properly. It also reduces the healthcare load on the government because when the individuals of a country stay sound they don't have visit hospitals. For instance, a report published by New York Times in 2016, showed that people in a village of United Kingdom was dealing various guts issues and they were unable to go to their work and the number of paitents were increasing in the hospitals. After the investigation it was found that there was a problen in the water supply, they installed a filteration plant in water management office from where water was supplied to homes and within months people recovered from issues and backed to their routien.
It is also a factor which plays a role in longer life spain because when a person stay healthy, he is less prone to diseases which shorten the life spain. To prove my point, the people of Japan higher than any other nation in the world, more that half of its population is over 60 years of age and the number is increasing. When it is asked by locals what is the secret behind your long ages they answered that we eat clean we drink clean.
In conclusion, clean water can eliminate the diseases and healthy people contribute to economy and it is also a secret behind longer life spain.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that homes should receive clean water free of charge, and the conclusion returns to health and economic benefits. You give relevant reasons, including preventing illness and supporting a longer life, and the village example attempts to show how water treatment can improve health. This meets the task well, but the argument is not fully developed in every part: the Japan example focuses on longevity without clearly showing that free water caused it, and the response does not explain how universal free provision could be funded or managed. The clear stance and relevant support are strong; to develop the response further, make the link between each example and free household supply explicit and extend the less-supported points. The stated length requirement is met; 12 words copied from the prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “It is also a factor,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The village example contains several events in one long sentence, while the connection between Japan’s older population and free water is not made clear. Some links are also mechanical or imprecise, such as “It is also a factor,” whose reference is vague. Separate the example into clearer steps and use explicit links to show how each point supports your position; this would make the organisation more consistently easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water supply,” “healthcare load,” “investigation,” and “diseases,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “less prone to diseases.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the message less clear: “guts issues,” “life spain,” “long ages,” and “backed to their routien” are not natural or accurate expressions. “People of Japan higher than any other nation” also does not express the intended comparison clearly. Build a reliable set of phrases for health, water provision, and life expectancy, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would make the argument sound clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “which,” and the main position remains understandable. However, errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “without human body can't function properly” lacks a complete grammatical construction, while “people in a village of United Kingdom was dealing” has problems with articles, agreement, and verb form. In “they don't have visit hospitals,” the verb pattern is incorrect, and “when a person stay healthy” has a subject–verb agreement error. Some sentences also run together, particularly in the village example. Practise accurate clause construction, agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then divide long sentences where needed.
