Student answer (Band 5.0)

Pure and clear water is basic need of human and every person deserves to have access to clean water in order to meet that every house in country should have water supply without any cost.In this essay we're going to disscuss both aspects that clear water is a need and should be accessible to every citizen of state or wether it should be free of cost or not.

Well i partially agree to this statement i firmly believe that human body needs a clean water and it's their right to get a germ free water and every home should have access to clean water but it should'nt be free of costs In some areas where we have water resources we should utilize them equally to the places we dont have them. As it's sientifically proven water is necessary for development of a body and it's their right to get clean water

In diffrent cities we don't have water resources and we need to bring clean water into homes so govt should invest in such project where clean water is accessible to public and cost less. For example in big cities like Islamabad we have some areas like Chak shezad where clean water is not available so people have to pay big sum of money in order to get water for their daily needs so government should take some steps in order to get water to their public in reasonable cost. For example i belong to district khushab here we have water tanker that delivers water twice a week and charge 250 pkr whuch is reasonable amount so likewise every citizen should have access to clean water in less costs.

to conculde my eassy i would say drinking clean water is basic necessity and

it should be accesible to every citizen and should cast less and sate should make such laws so that every neitizens get this benefit

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a relevant, partly agreeing position: clean water should reach every home, but you argue that it need not be free. The examples of Islamabad and Khushab help connect the issue to real access and costs. However, the response only partly develops the central question of whether household water should be provided free. Much of the discussion explains why clean water is necessary and why governments should improve supply, rather than giving clear reasons for charging or not charging households. The opening also promises to discuss “both aspects,” but the essay does not fully compare them. To strengthen the response, explain who should pay, whether charges should depend on income or usage, and why your proposed approach is fair.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you introduce the issue, state your position, give examples, and attempt a conclusion. The examples are relevant, but the progression is difficult to follow because several different points are crowded into long paragraphs, and the conclusion is separated awkwardly. Connections such as “For example” are repeated, while “In this essay we're going to discuss both aspects” does not lead to a balanced discussion of both sides. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly the move from water resources to the claim that water should not be free. Use distinct paragraphs for your position, reasons and examples, and conclusion. Make each paragraph develop one main point and use linking phrases that show the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water resources,” “accessible to public,” “daily needs,” and “reasonable cost,” so the main subject is clear. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “clean water,” “get water,” and “cost” appearing repeatedly. Spelling errors—including “disscuss,” “sientifically,” “diffrent,” and “conculde”—are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Some collocations also need attention: “big sum of money” and “less costs” are not natural choices in this context. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing affordability, public provision and household charges, and check spelling carefully during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons and examples, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. For instance, “every person deserves to have access … in order to meet that every house” has an unclear grammatical connection, while “it should'nt be free of costs” has problems with the contraction and sentence construction. There are also missing or incorrect articles and agreement patterns, as in “Pure and clear water is basic need” and “government should take some steps.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are inconsistent, especially in the opening and the long example paragraph. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurately controlled clauses.
