Student answer (Band 6.5)
Access to fresh water is a fundamental right. Every household should be equipped with free water supplying systems. I completely agree with this viewpoint, fresh water should be provided to prevent waterborne diseases as well as regulate social equality.
Water plays a significant role in people's lives. The government should install free water systems in every home to prevent waterborne diseases. Water supplied by government are usually contaminated with microorganisms and often treated with many chemicals by consuming this water people prone to waterborne diseases such as typhoid and cholera. For example, many low income families completely dependent on this water supplies and consume them on daily basis which may lead to vurnarable diseases. So, goverment should supply cost-free water to every house to maintain health and reduce mortality.
Additionally, charge free water supply enhances social equality and contributes nation development. In many developing countries, most of the settled people are spending their income to access the fresh water by installing RO systems and purifiers while poor and low-incomed families struggles to afford water bottles which adversly effect their lifestyle. If government supplies free clean water to every household, it reduces financial burden to poor as well brings unity in the society. For instance, the telangana government implemented a scheme called Mission Bhageratha which serves free drinking water in all urban and rural areas. As a result, unbaised society was emerged.
In conclusion, charge free drinking water helps not only to eradicate waterborne diseases but also helps to bring social equality in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that households should receive water free of charge. You address the question with two relevant reasons—protecting health and promoting social equality—and support them with examples, including low-income families and the Telangana scheme. This gives the response a clear, relevant argument. Some claims, however, are over-generalised or not fully explained. For example, saying government-supplied water is “usually contaminated” conflicts with the case for providing clean water, and the link between the scheme and an “unbiased society” is asserted rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the response, explain how free provision would ensure safe water and clarify the practical or social impact of your example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs develop separate reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. The progression from health to equality is logical, and signposts such as “Additionally,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. Some connections are less smooth, however. The sentence beginning “Water supplied by government” moves abruptly from the need for free systems to a claim that the supply is contaminated, making the reasoning difficult to follow. The example in the second body paragraph also needs a clearer explanation of how the scheme demonstrates equality. Use linking phrases to show cause and effect, and make sure each example is explicitly tied back to its paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “fundamental right,” “waterborne diseases,” “financial burden,” and “social equality.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt more formal expressions such as “contributes nation development.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “water supplying systems,” “charge free,” “settled people,” and “unbiased society.” There are also spelling errors such as “vurnarable,” “goverment,” and “adversly,” which reduce the overall precision. Aim to use familiar academic collocations accurately rather than forcing less natural phrases, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If government supplies free clean water to every household, it reduces financial burden.” The main argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Water supplied by government are” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “many low income families completely dependent” needs a finite verb. The opening sentence also joins two independent clauses with only a comma: “I completely agree with this viewpoint, fresh water should be provided…” Articles and plural forms are sometimes missing or inconsistent, as in “to poor” and “water supplies.” Review agreement, complete sentence structure, and article use; these corrections would make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
