Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes,I strongly believe that access to clean water is minimum right for humans. And also water should be provided to every house for free of cost.
Water is a basic need for humans. In olden days, there are water ponds or lakes in villages. So that, the villagers can use that water for daily needs and drinking purposes. However, when the pollution is rising, those water in lakes are only using for daliy life needs but not for drinking. As a result, clean water becomes a basic right for people. The alternate way for this clean water is to implement a water plant in every village.By using it,the villagers can easily get clean and purified water without taking any risks. The government also should work on supplying water pipelines to every home for their baisc needs sothat they do not go near the water resources to get water.
For instance,in my childhood there is a water lake at the entrance of our village which is far away from my house. My father used to get water from the lake through a water can.But when my father is not avaliable at home my mother used to get water by walk.It is used to be difficulty. To overcome this issue,a water plant is consturcted for pure water at our village and a pipeline system is built to every house. As a result, the water from that lake is supplied through these pipes so that the people need not worry to get water from distant place.
In conclusion, water supply should be provided to every house for free of cost where clean water is basic right for humans.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be supplied to every home without charge, and the village example is relevant to the topic. You explain how a distant lake made water collection difficult for your family and how a treatment plant and pipelines improved access. However, the response only partly develops the central claim about free provision. Most of the discussion concerns making clean water accessible, rather than explaining why households should not pay or how free supply could be funded. The opening and conclusion repeat your view but do not add much reasoning. To strengthen the response, develop one or two reasons for free access, such as public health or affordability, and explain them with specific support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it states your view, gives general background, provides a personal example, and concludes by restating your position. The example follows logically from the discussion of water access, and linking phrases such as “As a result” and “For instance” help show relationships between ideas. However, the progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated references to water and access, and some links are unclear. For example, the shift from polluted lakes to installing a water plant is not fully explained, and the final sentence of the example leaves the relationship between lake water and treated water confusing. Use clearer paragraphing and make each paragraph develop one main point, with references that specify which water source or system you mean.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “pollution,” “purified water,” “water pipelines,” and “water resources.” The personal example also gives you a useful range of everyday expressions. However, the vocabulary is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make the writing less clear, such as “minimum right,” “free of cost,” and “water can.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “daliy,” “baisc,” and “consturcted.” Some phrases are repeated, particularly “water” and “clean water.” Build a more precise range of collocations for this topic, and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, use “basic human right,” “free of charge,” and “container” or “canister,” depending on what you mean.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “so that,” and “as a result.” This allows you to explain causes and consequences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences often contain errors in tense, agreement, articles, or sentence construction. For example, “in my childhood there is a water lake” shifts tense, while “those water in lakes are only using” has an incorrect verb form and agreement. “My mother used to get water by walk” also shows difficulty with the grammatical pattern after “by.” Review past-tense forms for the personal story, subject–verb agreement, and article use. Breaking some long sentences into shorter, accurately controlled ones would also improve clarity.
