Student answer (Band 5.0)
i belive everyone need clean water to live. and all the people deserve clean water because it is a primary human need. However in earth has only 7 percentage of clean water.I believe every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. However owing to shortages of water government should take some rules and regulations to use clean water.
For example, many people use large amount of water in unnecessary work such as they often use clean water for washing their motor vahicle and parking area. i think government should take action of washing unnecessary things and take some find on it. also some individuals don't take care of their plumbing problems at home.
for instance normally people don't take seriously their water supply leakage owing to large amount of water west everyday. i think people should take care for their plumbing issues and immediately repair these problems.
however providing free clean water it has several benifits for pupils . moreover I also believe that everyone has deserve similarly rights on clean water. therefore all mankind use water like rich and poor.
I think it is good decision because many people can't afford water if it has some price . owing to they often drink dirty water as a result they getting sick. in addition they don't have money to checkup their health. i find many people have difficult to find clean or drinking water specially in desert side . i think government should provide clean water in these places as result people who live their drink clean water free of charge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that every home should receive clean water free of charge, and you give relevant reasons, including affordability, illness from dirty water, and access in desert areas. You also recognise a practical concern—water shortages—and suggest rules to limit waste. These points address the question, but the discussion is only partly developed. For example, the claim that only “7 percentage” of water is clean is not explained, and the proposed fines and plumbing repairs are not clearly connected to how a free household supply would be funded or managed. Develop the main reasons with clearer explanation or a specific example, and clarify how free access could be balanced with conservation. The response meets the stated length requirement; 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with a position, then discusses water waste and leaks, before returning to the benefits of free access and concluding with affordability and access in desert areas. Examples introduced with “For example” and “for instance” help show the intended links between claims and support. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The discussion shifts from universal access to fines, plumbing, pupils, and desert communities without a clear sequence, and “however” is repeated in ways that do not always mark a genuine contrast. Several ideas are crowded into the same paragraph. Use separate paragraphs for your position, conservation concerns, and benefits, and make each paragraph develop one central point with more precise linking.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary such as “clean water,” “water supply,” “shortages,” “plumbing problems,” and “free of charge,” so the reader can follow the main subject. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, including “rules and regulations” and “water supply leakage.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “washing unnecessary things,” “take some find,” and “water west everyday.” Spelling errors, including “belive,” “vahicle,” and “benifits,” are noticeable and reduce precision. Build a bank of accurate phrases for water access, conservation, and public policy, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas using clauses and reasons, for example, “because many people can't afford water if it has some price” and “as a result they getting sick.” This shows an effort to move beyond isolated simple statements. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence formation, agreement, articles, and verb forms. Examples include “everyone need,” “in earth has,” “everyone has deserve,” and “they getting sick.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase or joined unclearly. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete clause patterns first, then build longer sentences using “because,” “although,” and “if” while checking that each clause has a clear subject and verb.
