Student answer (Band 5.0)

Access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. I completely agre with this statement because water is an essential thing for human being and the government should provide free of charge.

Firstly, the water is a most useful thing on this word because it heps us to stay alive and there are so many benefits of it. In addition every individual people have a responsibility to do not waste water on the ground. for instance people or some community guide people to do not waste water and try to explain them how to convert a dirty water into fresh water. Therfore, people often waste water easily and they have a formula to convert dirty wter into a clean water..

Secondly, the government should provide proper facilities to the citizens and encourage them to save water, take responsibilities of it. Additionally the higher authorities of the government provide clean water to the citizens cosequently, fresh water will help them to stay hydrated and it also help them to clean the skin. for example, we can use water to wash cars, bike, rooms, roads and floors. due to this every home in our country should have proper water supply that provide water in free of cost.

In conclusion, the government should helps them to drink water clean and encourage people to take the responsibility to save water. moreover general people also care about that water might not waste. from my stand point, every person in this word should save water and having a right to drink clean water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

Your position is clear: you completely agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give relevant reasons about survival, health and government responsibility. However, the support is limited and sometimes does not directly explain why the supply should be free. For example, washing cars and floors shows uses for water, but does not establish that these uses should be provided at no cost. The discussion of converting dirty water is also unclear and not developed with a specific example. The response is 248 words, so it falls two words short of the required minimum; the 23 words copied from the prompt are excluded. Develop your main reasons with clearer explanations and relevant examples, and address the free-of-charge aspect more directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are placed together without a clear link. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from water’s importance to not wasting it and then to converting dirty water, without explaining how these points support free household supply. Connect each supporting point explicitly to your position, and organise each paragraph around one main reason. Some linking expressions, including “In addition,” “Additionally” and “moreover,” are repetitive or do not show the precise relationship between ideas; use fewer, more accurate transitions and clearer referencing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the general topic, including “essential,” “responsibility,” “facilities” and “hydrated.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to follow. Examples include “on this word,” “a most useful thing,” “convert a dirty water,” and “free of cost”; these are not natural or precise expressions in this context. Spelling slips such as “agre,” “heps,” “Therfore” and “wter” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. In particular, distinguish between providing water without charge and encouraging people to conserve it, as these are related but different ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using structures such as “because” and “that,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “every individual people have” has a number-agreement problem, while “the government should helps” uses the wrong verb form after a modal. In “it also help them,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “a water supply that provide” also needs agreement. Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are unclear, particularly in the first body paragraph. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and modal patterns, and proofread each sentence before adding more complex structures.
