Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the recent time, access to clean water is a basic need. A fair amount of individuals believes that clean water is the basic necessity of life and it should be avaible to every signle person. However, in my opinion, I strongly agree with this notion beacuse our health is attached with it. My prespective with be discussed in the following paragragh with a suitable conclusion and logical reasons and examples.

To begin with, there are multiple reasons of clean water. Analyzing the statement and explaning further, the first and foremost reason behind this is that availability of purified water is esssential to stay healthy beacause most of the diseases are linked with it such as, typhoid and cholera. When people used to drink dirty water there stomach can be cause infection. Government should provide clean water to everyone not just t homes but also for the public parks and open areas including road side areas. For instance, availability of clean water will also reduce the cost of medical expenses as people will be less infected by diseases.

Furtermore, government should implement the secure policies that the access of water should be available to every single individuals either they belongsare lower middle class or upper class. No discrimination should be occure in such senario. Water should be distrubuted free of cost rather then implementing high pries and taxes on the basic need.

To conslude, the modern world is full of novelty and new concerns, pure water access being the common one. People from different backgrounds and situations hold differnt opinions about the statement. I personally respect them all because they are logically justified when observed in their situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is stated clearly in the introduction: you strongly agree that clean water should be available to everyone, and you give relevant reasons, especially the links between unsafe water, illness and medical costs. You also mention equal access across income groups. However, the response only partly develops the task’s central proposal that every home receive water free of charge. The discussion shifts to public parks and other public areas, while the practical basis for free household supply is not explained. The conclusion also becomes less definite, saying that you respect differing opinions rather than restating your own view. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or example, and keep the argument focused on free household access.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with” and “Furthermore” help identify the main points. The ideas about health and equal access are relevant, but progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph moves from disease to public parks and then medical costs without fully connecting these points. Several formulaic phrases, including “Analyzing the statement and explaning further,” add little to the argument, and the conclusion introduces a general comment about differing opinions instead of drawing the discussion together. Use simpler transitions and make each paragraph develop one main reason in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “purified water,” “diseases,” “medical expenses,” “discrimination” and “taxes,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “avaible,” “signle,” “pries” and “novelty.” Some expressions are also unnatural or unclear, for example “our health is attached with it” and “secure policies.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more accurate set of collocations for public services and health, and proofread spelling and word forms. Prefer precise, natural phrases over elaborate expressions that do not fit the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a conditional-style explanation about drinking dirty water. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “When people used to drink dirty water there stomach can be cause infection” has problems with tense, pronoun form and sentence structure; “either they belongs” also has subject–verb agreement and verb-form errors. Articles, plurals and punctuation are inconsistent, as in “a fair amount of individuals believes” and the comma before “such as.” Aim first for accurate short sentences, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries during revision.
