Student answer (Band 5.0)
Water is a basic human need .Every living being requires water for survival and needs. This is a free resource provided by nature but today in many modern cities people have no access to clean water resources.Everything is soo polluted including water reservoirs. Moreover people have to pay for this facility which is basically a free natural thing. For example i live in a village where we have clean water to drink ,clean house and to perform chores which require water.water is available 24 hours in villages.water is just a turn of tap away while many of my friends in college often complain about availability of clean water .They have to pay for water tanks .The tanks are filled 2 times per day and they have to use it accordingly. All the household chores has to be performed within that limit. In some cities their are water supply bills charged monthly similarly to electricity and gas bills which are charged by meter readings.According to my opinion people should get free clean water regardless of the area they live .there are several reasons for justifying this statement. In my vision Land ,water,Food are natural sources provided by God for living beings on Earth .Nowadays we have to pay as these resources get polluted by whatever reasons. Decades ago people used to fetch water from well .Over ages as technology emerged, people made different routes to attach water sources from ground to houses.Lastest studies shows their are few water sources left deep inside soil due to which people have to pay .I think if we start saving water we can save ourselves from these bills

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that households should receive clean water free of charge, and the examples about your village and friends who buy water tanks are relevant to the issue. However, the argument is only partly developed. Much of the response describes differences in water access rather than explaining why a free household supply should be guaranteed or how it could be funded and maintained. The claim that water is a natural resource is repeated, but does not fully address the distinction between water itself and the costs of treating and delivering clean water. Develop two or three reasons, explain each one, and connect your examples directly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response contains a broadly understandable sequence: it introduces water as a need, gives examples of access and payment, and then states your opinion. However, it is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the main points and conclusion are not clearly separated. Connections between ideas are sometimes abrupt; for example, the discussion moves from water bills to natural resources and then to wells and technology without showing how each point supports the argument. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “For example” are used, but they do not create a consistent progression. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons and conclusion, and make the relationship between each example and your claim explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general issue, including “clean water,” “water reservoirs,” “water tanks,” and “meter readings.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “household chores” and “water sources.” However, vocabulary is often repetitive, particularly “water,” “pay,” and “free,” and some choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “clean house” and “a turn of tap away.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “soo” and “Lastest,” also reduce control. Build a wider range of precise terms for access, supply, treatment and cost, and check collocations and spelling so your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences. Examples include “All the household chores has to be performed,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “Lastest studies shows their are few water sources,” which contains errors in verb form and sentence construction. There are also missing or misplaced articles and punctuation, as in “Every living being requires water for survival and needs” and the run-on transitions between ideas. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their structure. Proofread for agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
