Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water supply should be given free of cost to every home to access to clean water which is a basic human right. I strongly agree with this statement because it is a basic human right and most common problem of every home, while clean water is necessary for humans because it is important factor of our health in terms of diseases.
Nowaday's, in most of the country governments can't focus to provide clean water each home and many poor people can't afford the water supply motor and clean water due to financial problems. In less developed countries mostly people use water from whells and tanks which is not clean, so that many people suffered from many diseases such as cholera and typhoid.
For example, In india many countryside areas where water is salty that is very harmful for people lives they can't drink it and it is also not much better for their clothes while, many people clean that water through filtering machines but many poor people can afford that machines.
Furthermore, water supply is the basic necessity of life so givernment should have to supply the clean water because it make impact heavily on our livies. In today's every person pay the taxes in their own countries, so
it the responsibilty that goverments should have to focused on the basic necessities of their peoples.
In conclusion, accessing the clean water is very beneficial for humans because our health is totally depends on water which is basic human rights of every person so it should be free of cost. Many people can't afford to buy filtering machines to filter water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly agree that households should receive clean water free of charge, and the conclusion returns to this view. You give relevant reasons, including health risks from unsafe water, the difficulty poorer households face in paying for treatment, and governments’ responsibility to provide basic services. The examples of cholera and typhoid and salty water in rural India help make the issue concrete. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the link between taxes and government responsibility could be developed, and the essay could distinguish free access to a basic supply from the costs of infrastructure or excessive use. Developing these ideas more evenly would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from health concerns to government responsibility is generally understandable, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. However, connections between some sentences are awkward or unclear. The first body paragraph moves from affordability to water sources and then to the India example without consistently showing how each point supports free household provision. The phrase “so that” does not clearly express the intended relationship, and “while” in the example creates an incomplete contrast. Plan each paragraph around one main reason, then use clear references and linking phrases to show how the example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “financial problems,” “filtering machines,” and disease names such as “cholera and typhoid.” This gives the reader enough language to follow the main argument. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “free of cost,” “water supply motor,” “most common problem of every home,” and “people lives”; “whells,” “givernment,” and “responsibilty” are also misspelled. Aim for more precise phrases such as “free of charge,” “water pump,” and “a widespread concern,” and check spelling carefully. Avoid repeating “basic” and “many” by choosing more specific alternatives where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “while.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are frequent enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “it is important factor” needs an article, while “it make impact heavily” has subject–verb and sentence-pattern problems. In “many people clean that water through filtering machines but many poor people can afford that machines,” the contrast and the intended meaning are unclear, and the plural noun requires a different determiner. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using controlled subordinate clauses.
