Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, it is often argued that clean water supply is a basic human right . so, it should be supply free of cost to every individual. while some people agree with this statment. i strongly agree with this view because clean water improves everyone health and personal hygiene. Access to clean water protect society from water borne diseases and water shortage. One reason why I agree is that it protect people from water shortage. The reason is that those who live in remote areas ought to have access to drink clean water without paying bill. for instance, the people who live in outstirks of big cities such as Lahore and Islamabad, they don't have much income to pay water bills, they are struggle to collect clean water for the whole day which they could be used for cooking or drinking purpose . As a result, they start drinking contaminated water which badly effect their health.
Another reason i agree is that, it help to maintain health . Those wo have access to clean water is easily maintain their health. This can protect them from water borne diseases which usually occured by drinking contaminated water . The other advantages is that it can help to maintain personal hygiene which upgrade the chances of healthier life. By intaking clean water , this not only help to maitain the people health but also reduce aging which is often happen due to baad health.
In conclusion, I agree with this statment that majority of individuals life depends on clean water beacause of the reason mentioned above. To sum up, clean water is priviliage and I strongly believe that clean water is crucial part of life which help to maintain every aspect of body as well as life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you strongly support free access to clean water. You give relevant reasons, including preventing water shortages, protecting health, and supporting hygiene, and the example of low-income residents near Lahore and Islamabad helps make the first point more concrete. This fully addresses the task at a basic level, while the clear stance and relevant support show some qualities of a stronger response. However, the argument focuses mainly on the benefits of clean water rather than explaining why the supply should be free of charge. Develop that central issue more directly—for example, explain how charging households could exclude people who cannot afford bills, and briefly address how free provision might be funded. Some claims, such as clean water reducing ageing, also need clearer support or should be replaced with a more convincing point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from water access to health and hygiene is generally understandable, and phrases such as “One reason,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, these transitions are somewhat mechanical, and some links between sentences are unclear. For example, “The reason is that those who live in remote areas…” does not clearly explain how free provision would prevent shortages, while “By intaking clean water, this not only…” has an unclear reference. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph’s main claim explicit, then linking each example and explanation directly to it. Use pronouns and connectors only when their references are clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “contaminated water,” “water-borne diseases,” “remote areas,” and “personal hygiene.” These choices show some awareness of the subject and help the reader follow your position. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision: “free of cost,” “outstirks,” “intaking,” “priviliage,” and “baad health” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “upgrade the chances of healthier life” and “maintain every aspect of body.” Aim for more accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general phrases such as “maintain health” with precise expressions would also make the argument more fluent and flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “the people who live in outstirks of big cities” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, with errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “clean water protect society,” “it help to maintain health,” and “Those who have access to clean water is.” The opening also uses sentence fragments and incorrect capitalisation after full stops. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly matched verb, and use full stops and commas to separate complete ideas. More accurate control of these patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
