Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad change from a working farm towards commercial and visitor uses, and you mention several relevant features, including the farm shop, camping, solar panels, parking and holiday cottages. However, the overview is unclear and some comparisons are inaccurate or incomplete. The fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables remain in broadly similar locations, but the response does not describe the new road layout or the farmhouse and chicken area, and it says the barn moved to where the road ends without clearly locating its original and current positions. The claim that cottages replaced the barn area is also imprecise. The response is 148 words, so it does not meet the 150-word minimum. Develop the overview and describe the main changes more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic progression: it begins with an overall statement, then describes changes in the upper and lower parts of the site. Phrases such as “Overall,” “While looking at,” and “Additionally” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the organisation is not consistently clear: “right hand side” and “upper right hand side” do not establish a reliable route through the maps, and the relationship between the barn, cottages and road is difficult to follow. The second sentence also combines a new farm shop with unchanged fields without a clear comparison structure. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the main details, and organise the description by location or by unchanged versus changed features. This would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “redevelopment,” “commercial purposes,” “grazing,” “camping field” and “parking facilities,” which helps communicate the general transformation. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “keeeeping sheeps,” “remined stagnant,” and “barn got shifted.” “Stagnant” is not a natural way to describe features that stayed in place, while “park” is an imprecise label for the farm site. Spelling errors such as “form,” “orignal” and “remined” are noticeable. Aim for precise map-description vocabulary and check spelling; for example, describe features as “remaining in the same locations” and say that a building “was relocated.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of sentence forms, including an overview sentence and longer comparisons introduced by “While” and “If.” However, control is inconsistent, and several sentences contain errors that make relationships unclear. For example, “the area being utilized for the keeeping sheeps is by the time use” has an incomplete and confused verb structure; “holiday cottages is being added” has subject–verb disagreement and an awkward tense; and “barn got shifted” does not use an appropriate passive form for a map comparison. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “the area” and “sheeps.” Use clear past-versus-present forms, such as “The area used for sheep grazing in 1950 is now a camping field,” and check agreement and sentence boundaries.
