Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad contrast between the older farm and its newer facilities, and you mention several relevant features, including the fruit plots, sheep, river, parking, camping field and farm shop. However, the comparison is only partial and the overview is vague: “changes … since 1950” does not specify the main pattern of change. Some details are inaccurate or unsupported, such as saying the track is on the right and that the shop sells fresh fruit, while important changes are omitted, including the holiday cottages and the solar panels’ location. The claim that solar panels were introduced “in order to reduce the expense” is also an assumed purpose, not information shown on the plans. Select the major changes and describe their positions accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence: an opening, a general comparison, a description of the 1950 plan and then the present-day plan. This gives the reader some sense of organisation, and words such as “Overall,” “However” and “as well as” attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is weakened by repeated references to “the images” and “the form,” and several sentences are difficult to follow, particularly “Overall, the images describes that changes in the from since 1950 till today.” The final sentence is incomplete, so the account ends abruptly. Use a clear overview followed by one paragraph for each plan or a direct comparison, and make each linking phrase express a precise relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “Fruit trees,” “Soft fruits,” “Vegetables,” “parking,” “camping field” and “solar system.” This shows an attempt to describe the map rather than relying entirely on general language. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the description harder to understand: “form” is repeatedly used instead of “farm,” while “rangements,” “interduced,” “filed” and “enterence” are inaccurate. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “form style” and “area for the parking of cars and cycles.” Build a reliable set of map terms—such as “site,” “facility,” “plot,” “located” and “converted”—and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “However, the second images shows the changes…” and “In order to reduce the expense … they interduce the solar system…” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms. Examples include “the images describes,” “the changes that make,” and “the second image show.” The opening also contains an incomplete or unclear construction, and the response ends with “the new design of form is goo,” which is unfinished. These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate present-tense descriptions and basic comparison structures, checking subject–verb agreement and complete sentences before adding more complex clauses.
