IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Glance at the map reveals a comparison between the two scenario of Beechwood farm in 1950 and in current time.

Beechwood farm had undergone so many remarkable changes in whole duration. the sheep area is now transformed into two parking area, camping field and solar panels are now installed there. Another major change is that Barn is now substituted by Holiday cottages and barn is shifted to end of triangular road. Moreover, the older track is upgraded to road and there is invasion of farm shop in fruit trees area. However, the farmhouse and chickens remained unchanged, the area beside the road of soft fruits and vegetable is still conserved in it's earlier state.

Overall, there are few significant changes took place in whole duration such as conversion of sheep land, addition of two parking and relocation of barn with invasion of shop and cottage while, other part remained unchanged.
