Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have attempted to describe the changes between the two maps, the information is fragmented and lacks a clear overview of the main trends. You have missed several key features, such as the removal of the old farmhouse and the addition of the campsite and solar panels. The description is too brief to provide a comprehensive summary, and the lack of detail regarding the spatial layout makes it difficult for the reader to visualize the changes. To improve, ensure you cover all major developments and provide a clear, structured comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response lacks logical organization. There is no clear paragraph structure, and the sentences do not flow well from one to the next. The use of cohesive devices is very limited, making the text feel like a collection of disjointed observations rather than a coherent report. For example, the transition 'But today' is used, but the subsequent sentences do not connect logically to the previous points. To improve, you should group related information into distinct paragraphs (e.g., one for the 1950 layout and one for the current layout) and use linking words like 'whereas', 'in contrast', or 'furthermore' to connect your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and often inaccurate. Phrases like 'neither more provide facilities nor educate persons' and 'chickens easy availible' are unclear and do not accurately describe the map features. You rely on basic, repetitive language, and some word choices are inappropriate for an academic report. To improve, focus on learning specific vocabulary related to describing maps and changes, such as 'demolished', 'converted', 'expanded', and 'replaced'. Avoid using informal or vague language, and try to use more precise terms to describe the facilities shown on the maps.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('There are provide vegetables'), word order, and sentence structure. Many sentences are incomplete or lack the necessary articles and prepositions to be grammatically correct. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb. Pay attention to the use of articles ('the', 'a') and prepositions, as these are currently causing confusion and impeding the clarity of your writing.
