The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pictures below compare the two different maps of a single place called Beechwood Farm and show multiple changes occurs from 1950 to recent year.

Overall, it is cleared from the diagrams that Beechwood Farm have some sites same as in 1950 . Moreover, it shows magor changes in sheep area as compared to other parts.

In 1950, Beechwood farm has different site with basic facilities such as sheep area was all clear just for sheep as compared to today. In recent year, it has changed this sheep area into different facilities such as camping field, parking and also site for Solar panels. Other sites like soft fruits, vegetables remain unchanged. Additionally, it added changes to the Farmhouse areas. In 1950,it has only Barn at the right side of the Farmhouse and chickens on the left side of it.

On the other hand, in today, its structure is partially changed and the right side of the Farmhouse now have Holiday cottages .The Barn now moved to the other end of the roads where it makes triangle.
